Moving down the stairs, I smiled as Kota caught my hand and guided me to the couch giving me the closest seat to the fire. Curling up, I smiled listening to the boy's chat when I notice Dr. Green join the group. His eyes met mine for a little while before he took a seat besides Mr. Blackbourne. Instantly, I could tell that this conversation was going to take a sour turn.
Sitting up, I rested my feet against Kota's thigh as he interrupted the group. "Sang has two bruised ribs and four broken ones plus a multitude of lacerations on her back arms and chest." I freeze and watch as the information sinks into the male's mind but who catches my attention is both Mr. Blackbourne and Luke.
Mr. Blackbourne's soft grey eyes were filled with a rage that I had never seen before. He looks to Dr. Green who holds the male's gaze easily. The two begin to talk as I shift from my seat and stand. Dr. Green's eyes rush to meet mine as he hears the movement. "Sang we have to talk about this. We have to discuss-" I ignore him and move to the couch and kneel down in front of where Luke is sitting.
The male is a pale white and I gently slip my fingers into his and squeeze them hard. "Luke take a breath." I whisper and the male's soft brown eyes waver for a moment before he allows his body to take in the oxygen. Gabriel, who is sitting next to him, gently rubs his shoulder and I smile as Luke slowly starts to calm down. Carefully, I stand and meet Dr. Green's eyes.
I can feel my voice hardening in the process as I try and control my own anger. "You had no right to share that information with everyone." I state easily and I see Dr. Green's eyes widen in surprise and some of the other boys shift in shock. "I know why you did but you had no right not in front of them." I state and turn to Luke who holds out his hands instantly bringing me into his chest. I give the male a tight squeeze and shift placing a very soft kiss on his lips.
"Luke I am okay." I whisper into his ear and he nods a little but I can feel how tense his body is under me and I know he blames himself. Carefully shifting in the male's lap, I glance to Mr. Blackbourne who nods in agreement.
"Boys I think you all should go and get ingredients for dinner." Mr. Blackbourne states and I quickly look to Kota who nods in agreement. Luke's hands however tense around my waist and I spin around to meet his eyes.
Leaning forward, I place my lips right in his ear "Tonight you me and Gabriel will share your room." Luke shifts meeting my eyes for a moment before he nods and I carefully shift from his lap and take a seat on the couch.
My eyes land on the deep brown eyes of North as he hesitates to join the others. I can tell he is looking for permission to stay but I quickly shake my head and motion to Luke who is moving to the door with Gabriel. "Keep an eye on him." I whisper and North's eyes widen before he nods moving to follow the other's out of the cottage. As the door clicks into place, I carefully shift deeper into the couch and look to both Mr. Blackbourne and Dr. Green waiting for them to start.
"Sean..." Mr. Blackbourne sighs and slowly rubs his fingers against his eyebrows.
"Owen don't. They needed to-" Dr. Green stated and I looked to him.
"Trust." I whisper and the room freezes. "You have asked me to trust you time after time and yet you do not trust me." I watch Dr. Green process the information. "I told you that I didn't want the other's in pain because of this and instead you tell them exactly the damage that was dealt to my body. A patients medical records are confidential aren't they?" I close my eyes and slowly rub them by body feeling sore and sluggish.
Meeting Dr. Green's eyes I can see the information register and I smile softly. "I know you didn't mean to. I know you were thinking as a friend or a lover rather than a doctor." I let out a soft breath and I slowly closed my eyes trying to conserve my energy.
"It still shouldn't have happened." Mr. Blackbourne finished and I felt the air shift as he moved forward and gently lifted me up and into his arms. Resting my head on his shoulder, I relaxed as he settled back down into his seat. "But you Miss Sorenson need to talk to us about the kidnapping as well."
I open my eyes to meet Mr. Blackbourne's soft grey eyes looking down at me. I nod understanding and slowly take a breath. "I agree. It isn't good to hold the pain in. But I should have the right to choose what I share and who I share it to." I state and Mr. Blackbourne nods and I glance to Dr. Green who looks a little nervous in his seat.
"Oh Pookie I am very sorry." His bright green eyes watering and I quickly sat up and moved to give him a hug.
"It's okay." I whispered and hugged him tight to me. "You were thinking of me in your own way." I placed a soft kiss on his lips before feeling tired and settling into his lap. "Could I take a nap?" I whisper and instantly the males nod as I start to drift asleep.
Point of View: Mr. Blackbourne
I watched as Sang slowly fell asleep in Sean's arms and I couldn't help but be more proud of our bird. Not only had she contained her anger but she had spoke her mind easily and was able to understand Dr. Green's point of view while keeping the atmosphere calm.
Standing, I smile and move to Sean who smiles softly to me. "She is so much stronger than all of us." He whispers and I nod as I carefully lifting Sang from Sean's lap and carrying her to the couch she had curled up in before. Laying a blanket out over her, I gently place a kiss on her cheek.
Moving to the kitchen, I check the supplies and I can hear Sean turn on the television when my phone begins to vibrate in my pocket. Pulling it out I hit talk and bring it to my ear. "Report." I state into the phone as I close the door to the fridge.
"There is a storm rolling in." Kota's voice states over the phone and I quickly look to the window. "Eta is about three hours. We are on our way back now what should we do when we get there."
I pause taking in the information as I look to Sean who is looking to me with a worried face. "Mr. Taylor and Mr. Korba are to bring as much firewood into the house as well as pellets. Mr. Griffin and Mr. Coleman you both will distribute as many blankets that we have stored here and in the RV. Make sure that Mr. Coleman and Mr. Taylor's room has the most. Mr. Lee and Mr. Morgan make sure that the RV is locked up tight as well as the rest of the house. Mr. Taylor I believe you have some time with Miss. Sorenson." I quickly hung up the phone after and stepped over to the couch.
"Is something the matter?" Sean whispers and I glance to a curled up Sang.
"A storm is coming." I state. "The boys are going to prepare the cottage but just incase I would like you to also prepare and make sure everything first aid wise is in the cottage.
With a nod, Sean moved to the door when it suddenly came crashing open with Luke, Victor, and Kota with arms full of groceries. Sang instantly is sitting up and she gives a weak smile as I carefully lift her up. "It's okay just the boys." I whisper and she curls up shivering. Grabbing the blanket I quickly wrap her up in it and step into the kitchen. Luke turns to me and seems to light up spotting a sleepy Sang in my arms.
"One rule." I state and he freezes looking me directly in the eyes. "Make sure she eats." I smile and Luke laughs as Sang lets out a groan and I pass her to Luke's outstretched arms.
