A different Beginning ~ Part 75 ~ Updated: 3/11/15 Late Evening

I stayed curled up in the back seat of the car. North drove and Victor had me laying in the back of the car Gabriel sat turned around in the front seat watching me. I smiled and offered a hand out to Gabriel who took it in his and squeezed.

“Meanie I am fine.” I respond spotting the worry in his face and I try to sit up but Victor’s hands lightly catch my shoulders guiding me back down.

“No Trouble, you stay laying down.” Gabriel warned and I sighed looking down slowly. I was wrapped up in the warmth of a blanket which was nice but my fever has gone down and I felt fine. Biting my lip I shifted uncomfortably.

Glancing up at Victor I met his bright eyes and he looked to me questioningly. “I am fine.” I smile back and slowly sit up pushing through his hands once more but kept the blanket wrapped around me. Victor’s eyes were filled with worry so instead I curled up against his side resting. His shoulders relaxed and his arm wrapped around me as we cuddled in the back seat.

“So we are going to head and grab some lunch. Mr. B wants to know where you want to go Trouble.” A smile had appeared on Gabriel’s lip and I couldn’t help but smile back.

“Umm I don’t know. Somewhere yummy.” I shrugged and blushed hearing the words come out of my mouth. “I-I mean…” Gabriel and North laughed. Victor rubbed my side reassuringly.

“It’s okay baby. Let’s see… we could go to the Greek place up the street…” North stated and Gabriel made a horrified face. I hid a smile.

“Let’s grab some Chinese.” I suggested glancing up to Victor who smiled nodding. Gabriel looked relieved and North nodded in agreement. Gabriel quickly punched it into his phone and to my surprise my phone vibrated.

Carefully pulling it out of my bra, I glanced up at Victor who now had a slight blush on his cheeks. Blushing hard I glanced down at my phone.

Kota: Are you sure Chinese is what you want?

My eyes widened and I instantly started to type back.

Sang: Why do you not want Chinese?

I bit my lip watching the screen and the little icon appeared signaling that Kota was typing. What was he thinking? If he didn’t want Chinese that was fine with me. I nervously picked at my lip with my hurt wrist unconsciously but a second later, Victor’s hand slipped onto my hand.

“What’s on your mind princess?” His voice was soft as I slowly put my hand back in my lap where I kept it cradled. I had taken some medicine for the pain before I had gotten into the car but I could still feel the throb as it settled on my lap. Victor must have sensed it as well because he shifted slightly his hands moving slowly to my injured arm and rubbing slowly.

I couldn’t help but smile as his soft fingers worked my sore skin and I slowly let my head rest against his chest. “Nothing. Just hungry.” I smiled pushing the topic away from my phone. I glanced down at my hand and watched his hand work little circles up my arm. It was only a couple of minutes later in which Victor’s hand found its way into my hair. Shivering slightly as the air touched my skin Victor paused for a moment before placing his hand lightly on my shoulder and lightly squeezed. Closing my eyes I relaxed instantly at his touch and he slowly started to work his fingers on my back once more.

It was nice feeling the soft touch of his hand on my back. Closing my eyes I let out a very slow breath and I slowly opened my eyes. Victor’s eyes were distant, focused upon my shoulders. His fingers shifted to my sides and I let out a sharp giggle. Surprised Victor stopped smiling and Gabriel turned around sharply. North’s eyes were in the rear view mirror.

“S-Sorry.” I rushed out blushing hard. I quickly hid my face and Gabriel let out a soft chuckle himself.

“Ticklish Trouble?” Gabriel reached out and instantly I pulled away playfully giggling. Gabriel’s eyes widened and he lunged again at me and I let out a yelp as he caught my arm trying to find my ticklish spots.

“Hey! Careful both of you!” North glanced back and Gabriel slowly pulled my hand up placing a soft kiss on my knuckles making me blush once more.

“The war isn’t over Trouble.” He teased and wiggled his fingers as though he was tickling me and I couldn’t help but giggle harder.

My phone then vibrated again and I glanced down instantly.

Kota: I just wanted to make sure its what you want.

I smiled instantly and typed back quickly.

Sang: I would like to have Chinese.

Victor’s hands moved from my shoulders and instantly I missed the touch of his warm fingers. But I suddenly felt them on my side and I tensed. Victor’s hand instantly stopped and he leaned forward. “Easy…” He whispered warningly and he guides me back to his chest. I glanced up quickly. “Do you trust me?”

I nodded instantly and his fingers slowly worked my sore spots. The pain instantly melted away and my eyes searched for his. “Better?” I smiled nodding and he wrapped the blanket a bit closer to me and I closed my eyes resting against Victor as the pain disappeared slowly.

The next time I opened my eyes was when the soothing rhythm of the car and Victor’s fingers stopped. Shifting into a sitting position, Victor’s hands lightly caught my sides as I started to tumble off the seat. Sleepily, I was placed on Victor’s lap and he lightly rubbed my back. “We are here Princess. Just relax, I will carry you in.” I nodded wrapping my good arm around his neck as he helped me out of the car and into the house.

I opened my eyes as the scent of Irish Spring Soap entered my nose. Mr. Blackbourne smiled and softly caressed my cheek. “Lunch will be here in a moment don’t go falling back asleep just yet.” I nodded rubbing my eyes very slowly and Victor shifted me to the couch.

Glancing down I spotted Luke resting on the couch and a large smile appeared on his face. Victor carefully settled me into his lap. “Good morning Sleepy Birdie.” He cooed and I smiled rubbing my eyes a little more. Luke’s hands gently pulled my hands away from my face and he softly helped me clear my eyes.

I smiled at him and his hands lightly rubbed my elbows. “Hi Luke.” I whispered back and he smiled placing his forehead on my forehead and I blushed relaxing a little at his intimate touch. I could feel a zing shoot through my body and I shivered pulling away a little.

Luke’s eyes met mine and I blushed glancing down. He smiled ruffling my hair. “No fever.” He confirmed and I curled against his chest. But even so I felt him pull the cover over my shoulders to keep me warm.
