"PUT THE GUN DOWN!" A cop yelled at Gabe (Yet another boy Emily Rose had met).
Gabe had told Emily that it would be fun to rob a store of snacks and sodas. But what Emily didn't know was that Gabe had planned to rob the store at gunpoint and ask for money. He then shot two people and took Emily hostage in his car where he raped her.
Gabe had already shot a few officers who laid dead beside the other cops. The cops couldn't shoot Gabe. He was using Emily as a sheld. She was crying and trying to wiggle away. But Gabe would press his arm tighter to her neck if she were to try to escape.
"LET THE GIRL GO!" The cop yelled. Gabe didn't answer he only turned the gun away from the cops and placed it against Emily's head. "ONE STEP CLOSER AND I SHOOT THE GIRL! PUT YOUR GUNS DOWN!" Gabe yelled. The high man was crazy and the cops knew he'd actually shoot Emily if he got the chance so they lowered their guns. "Alright, now let her go," one of the cops said softly. Clearly, they all were terrified that this would be their last day alive.

Cooper sat in the hospital room. Carson was snuggled against his side sleeping with Ethan in his arms. Cooper smiled at the sight. He began working nightshift and he and Carson would often spend the night at the hospital with Ethan. Sometimes Anna would come other times she'd stay with her grandparents.
Dr. Ash busted into the room waking Carson and Ethan. Cooper jumped up knowing something was wrong to get his companion to burst into the room frantically. Dr. Ash has wide-eyed with a shocked and pale look on her face. "What is it?" Cooper asked his heart pounding. Dr. Ash was one of the most chill doctors and she never got scared or nervous when something happened. "There's been a shooting and the cops called us there!" Dr. Ash yelled. "In the middle of a shooting!" Cooper yelled. Dr. Ash nodded. "Be careful, Cooper," Carson said looking at his husband with worried eyes. "I'll be fine," Cooper said.
They road in an ambulance to the store where the shooting took place. Macy was frantic. She was a nervous wreck. Cooper tried his best to calm her down but even he was shaking. They'd be in a middle of a shooting.
They all jumped out o the ambulance and ran to the cops. Cooper gathered information. "DON'T HELP THEM OR I'LL SHOOT ALL OF YOU!" Gabe yelled. "COOPER!" Emily called. "Emily!" Cooper said. His heart rate picked up.
Suddenly, Macy cried out in pain as she was shot in the arm. Another shot fired hitting her in the chest. "Macy! No!" Cooper cried as he ran to his best friend. But it was too late. The last shot hit her in the heart. Macy was gone. Dr. Ash told the cops to call in more backup.
"Macy, fuck, no," Cooper said as he cradled the nurse's small body in his arms. She's been his friend since residency. And now just like that, she was taken from him.
The sounds of sirens filled Cooper's ears. But he was almost in a trance staring and Macy's lifeless body.
A couple of paramedics took Macy from Cooper's arms and placed her in the back of an ambulance and rode away. Cops and Ambulances pulled into the parking lot.
Dr. Ash knelt by Cooper. "Are you alright?" she asked. "No," Cooper said. "I'm not. I just wanna go back to the hospital and be with Carson." "Cooper, you'll be able to go back-"
Dr. Ash was cut off by a loud gunshot and Emily screaming. Cooper and Dr. Ash jumped to their feet. Gabe was lying lifeless at Emily's feet and she was crying.
"Hey, hey," Cooper said running over to Emily. "C-C-Cooper," Emily said shakenly and she hugged her brother-in-law. "Come on let's get you back home, are you hurt?" Cooper asked. "No," Emily said. "We'll take it from here, Adler," a cop said. Cooper nodded. The cop walked Emily to his car and told her to get in. Knowing the cops pretty well, Cooper knew they'd let Emily go with a warning. Hasn't this night been enough punishment?
Cooper returned to the hospital. His heart ached for Macy. Cooper got cleaned up and crawled into bed beside Carson who was asleep. And Cooper fell asleep too holding Carson close to his body.
