"Darn it, they're on a date again." Drew gritted his teeth.

"Who is?" I asked, although knowing the answer, I wanted to be sure.

"Dawn and Paul." (A/N: I'm not really into that shipping, I was just trying to choose between him and Kenny.)

I set my eyes downcast. I knew it, he liked her, not me. Idiot May. I told myself.

"Yeah, so.. Tell me honestly, Drew, do you like Dawn?" I asked my best friend, whom I have fallen with.

His lips parted and his face scribbled with shock all over it.

"Well.." He scratched his neck. "I used to.. But I've found someone else."

He gave me a sheepish smile.

I was happy to hear that he wasn't into my friend anymore but sad that there's another one.

It isn't me. I just know it.
After all, I'm just his best friend.

Is this even Drew? I mean, he is, but he acts as if he's.. Possessed? But then again, why is he still affected?

"Oh!! My little lovers!! Come here, I have something to tell ya!" Obviously, Harley had intentionally embarrased us publicly.

Drew didn't retort. That's odd.

"Make it quick." Drew snapped harshly, looking up to the college student.

"Have you told her already, Drew?" He questioned.

Flustered, he shook his head.

"Who are you talking about?" I asked.

"No one." He replied coolly. "What should we watch later at the movie house?"

"Maze Runner." I said right away.

He chuckled at my eager expression.

"May? Why are you quiet?" Drew asked.

"Thinking." I replied softly, my eyes glued to the movie playing at the screen. "Of the one you like."

I looked at him, the movie near its end, where WCKD explains about the almost incurable disease.

"Please describe her." I pleaded, my sapphire irises staring straight at his emerald ones.

"Well.. She's.. Unique." He started. "She gets pissed easily and she's my best friend."

I frowned, not only does he not look at me as special, but now, not his best friend even.

"But... I am your best friend." I said.

He smiled at me mysteriously. "Isn't that what I said?"

Then, the credits rolled, that was fast.
