"And that is what you call serenade, class. Would you like a demonstration?" Their music adviser asked.

The people, mostly the girls started squealing a 'yes'

"Who would like to volunteer?"

The room grew quiet that it probably lowered to 10 decibels. That's what they thought, you could hear blood flow or a pin drop.

"Drew!" A guy shouted loudly.

The class cheered in reply.

"And he'll be serenading May!" Another guy added, and the cheers grew even louder.

The adviser held up his hand. "If you'll be quiet, he may start."

Again, the cheers died down, everyone was expecting for Drew to sing.

Taking a blue acoustic guitar, he started singing.

Oh, her eyes, her eyes makes the stars look like they're not shining.

Their eyes met, blue meeting green. The world seemed to slow down for the brunette.
Her hair, her hair falls perfectly without her trying.

He smirked.
She's so beautiful and I tell her everday.

He sighed momentarilly.
Yeah, I know, I know when I compliment her she won't believe me
And it's so, it's so sad to think that she don't see what I see.

She blushed, in both embarassment and flattery.
But everytime she asks me 'Do I look okay', I say

Everyone except May sang along the chorus.
When I see your face
There's not a thing that I would change
Coz you're amazing
Just the way you are.

His eyes once again locked with hers.
And when you smile
The whole world stops and stares for a while
Coz girl you're amazing just the way you are

The class erupted into cheers and praises.

"That's my boy (In the Philippines, when we're really proud of someone who is your best friend, we shout "Anak ko 'yan!"*)!" Ash shouted, ruffling his hair.

The crowd of students then went out and the two went to the rooftop of their school.

"I know you really liked it." Drew grinned, facing the girl, his hands tucked in his chin.

"Of course." She started mumbling something very inaudibly.

"You'll know why soon." She smiled and hugged him out of the blue.

That was a lot of years ago.

"Drew, if you stop dozing off in my couch, then I'll give you a basket of candies." It was Drew's wife, May. "We may have been married for 4 years but I don't intend on going easy on you." She pointed her spatula at him.

"I'm up." He said, his eyes drowsy.

"Good."

"Aww.. She's being mad." He mocked.

She huffed as usual and tried burning him with the spaghetti she was cooking, which obviously was already burnt thanks to her skills in cooking.

"You love me too much to burn me." He said, kissing her cheek.

She pouted then smiled. "You're right, Mr. Bruno Mars mimicker."
*but don't start telling that to everyone if you really don't understand it, okay.
