Silver never really liked his birthday. It may have been the day before the long-awaited holiday to most but it was the most dreadful day to him, the day he was abducted from his home.

Silver just turned 3, then. He was only close to his big sister, or so he called her, Blue, but she was nowhere to be found.

He sighed heavily and brought his knees to his chest, painfully trying to hold back the tears, besides, it never helped to feel helpless.

He heard small dashing steps and the creak of the wooden door of his room and Blue entered. "Merry Christmas, Silver."

The 5-year-old showed him a small red and white cupcake with a candle attached to it.

"B-Blue?! Is that--" Silver gasped, it was his favorite kind.

"Yep, Red velvet! Sorry, it's not cake..."

"No, no, no! It's perfect, Blue!"

"Heehee, don't worry, Master won't notice it's you."

Silver's eyes widened. "You stole it?"

"Yeah.. But can't we celebrate with sweets? Even for just a day?"

Blue then hugged Silver. "My favorite brother, on my favorite holiday."

Many years later...

"Ooh!! Silver! Make a wish! I bet it's to--" Gold exclaimed.

"Oh, Gold. Don't go ruining pure innocent people like Silver's." Crystal butt in. "Besides, you're too obvious, Gold."

"Obvious?" Gold cluelessly repeated, tilting his head. "You mean with Silver? I do not love Silver!!"

"Okay, you know what, how about you shut the fuck up and Silver makes the wish?" Crystal rolled her eyes, if she could just make those two happen, she would be so happy. He was just so obvious it almost made her lose her sanity.

"Yeah, make a wish, Silvy!!"

"Do not call me that." Silver mumbled and blew out the flames.

"I'm travelling to Kalos next week."

"What?" Silver and Crys gasped.

"Maan, I want to try Mega Evolving and all. I wanna bring you guys, but Crys here is a Pokemon Researcher, and you Silver, you're travelling to Sinnoh, right?"

"I miss travelling." Crystal commented.

"Yeah, the next time we do, you all gotta promise we will see each other." Gold saluted them.

"Even if we don't promise that.." Crystal trailed off, she started hiccupping.

"Fate will still draw us together." Silver smiled.

"Aw, shucks. You guys tryin' to make me teary? Geez, stop with your cheesy lines." Gold wiped his left eye. "I will see you in 3 years, Silver, Crys."

With one last hug the trio parted away.

"Oh, right! Silver, I almost forgot." Gold threw a box wrapped with gift wrapper. "Don't forget me, asshole."

"Right back at you, you bastard." Silver opened it and saw a picture and a box of assorted chocolates.
