"Drew!" May called, waving to him. "What're you-- EEK!!"

"Honestly," Drew looked irritated as he looked down at her. "You scared it away."

"Scared what away?" May cocked her head, completely oblivious to the situation, she dusted herself and tried to look at whatever he was watching. "Oh! A bee!"

"Yes, I was gonna get some--"

May interrupted his sentence. "You're getting bee larvae, right?"

Drew gave her a bewildered look but she didn't notice. "No, not that. I was--"

"Ooh!! Bee larvae! It's a special delicacy for aristocratic people." She clasped her hands together. "I didn't know you were into that stuff, Drew."

"Look, Stumbles." Drew cleared his throat to get her attention. "Now that the bee flew away, I think you could leave now."

"Wait, did you just--" She paused. "Never mind. Next time, you should really take me with you on your bee-hunting activity."

Drew looked at her, obviously surprised. "Sure, whatever you say, Stumbles."

May couldn't even argue with that.

"Bee larvae? What on earth?? Oh well, guess there's no honey for me, then."

Two days later...

"Where's that bee?" Drew asked himself.

"Oh! Drew, what a coincidence to see you here." May exclaimed, hyped up. "Are you bee-hunting?"

"Uh.. Stumbles, I guess so, yeah." Drew awkwardly said.

"Don't worry, Drewy, I'll help you find that bee hive and get you some bee larvae."

Drew made a face but May ignored it. "Drewy, really? What's making her so hyper today?"

Minutes later, May showed up carrying a tree branch, with a bee hive attached to it.

"Drew! I found-- AAH!!"

May started running away and dropped the hive. The swarm of bees then chased Drew, being the nearest person, automatically making him the culprit of destroying their home.

"May! MAY!" And off went Drew.

•••

"Ow!" Drew hissed in an attempt to appear brave. "I didn't think it would be possible to get away from those bees, and live."

"I'm really sorry." May apologized. "But you got what you wanted, right?"

"Yeah." He gave her a jar with a gold colour, all gooey. "You want some?"

"Sure. It's no bee larvae." She said, nodding. "But, I mean-- this is your honey, and you worked so hard on getting it."

"I didn't find the hive, y'know, you deserve to get them. I just ran for my life."

"Drew, I'm so sorry. It's all my-- Ouch!!" May gasped, cradling her right arm.

"May? Are you okay?"

"Y-yeah." She stammered, hiding her arm and winced.

"Let's see that, May."

May refused but Drew kept on insisting and she gave up, showing it to him.

"Gods, May. This thing's as big as a turnip." Maybe Drew was exaggerating, but her swollen arm really was all red and well.. Swollen.

"It doesn't really hurt." She insisted. "You looked so happy going on and on about honey that I couldn't tell you."

"Oh.. Just be careful, next time, Stumbles. And let a doctor or something treat it for you."

May nodded and left him alone and get treated.

Drew sighed as he dug through his pockets, revealing a tiny, velvety box, with one swift movement, he opened it, revealing a ring with dazzling sapphire stones. "There's always next time."
