They really started off before dawn. Wei Ying was so furious about last night that he forgot to grumble about how early it was. How could Lan Zhan do this to him??? It was the worst he had done so far! Trick him like that... and just when Wei Ying was starting to sort out his feelings and desires about this new love.

That awful Lan boy!

He was riding ahead, and from time to time would cast a quick look behind his back to glare at Lan Zhan (who was very successfully ignoring him), and wishing he could kill with a single look. Ah, just you wait, Master Lan. Wei Wuxian would have his revenge – and it would be bad. Now he just had to think of something. To hell with meditation! He wouldn't meditate a single second for the next 6 days, he promised himself.

Lan Zhan wasn't worried. He was rather amused to see Wei Wuxian fuming. The boy needed to learn some discipline. He had to test his patience – a virtue that was unfamiliar to that particular brat. Now he was observing with interest just how long he would be sulking for. He knew he'd be missing him, but lately Wei Ying was also quite attached to his Shizun. He'd be seeking for every possible caress, and would beg for kisses. It was a happy time for Lan Wangji.

- Hey, brat! Are you hungry? We could stop for a break at noon. We have at least 3 more hours till the lake. – Lan Zhan smirked.

No response. Wei Ying would not even turn around.

Lan Zhan laughed a little and sped his horse to catch up with the one ahead. When the two horses aligned he just reached out and pulled Wei Ying in and over, dragging him, literally, to his own horse, and placing him to sit together with him.

- Hell, why are you idiot so freakishly strong??  – Wei Ying spat out, red in the face, and now quite awkwardly riding in front of Lan Zhan, his back to the road – his disheveled head facing his lover. – And who said that you could do that?!?  – he pouted.

Lan Zhan laughed heartily and he let go of one of the reins and wrapped his free hand around Wei Wuxian's waist.

- I can do whatever I want, because you are mine. – he said calmly. – Or am I not your Shizun  any more? Am I not your loved one any more? Mmmm? – he smiled, placing a small kiss on Wei Ying's cheek. – I still recall all the names you called me by last night, Wei Ying.

- I hate it how you always use this excuse, Lan Zhan... - he frowned, still angry.

- So you don't love me any more, huh? – Lan Zhan asked, raising an eyebrow.

A sharp pain went through Wei Ying's heart, and he looked away, still blushing.

- You know very well that I love you very much, you idiot...  -  he mumbled.

When he looked up next, he saw Lan Zhan's face close to him, his cheeks were burning, and he finally gave him a real kiss. Their lips connected hesitantly and gently at first, and Wei Wuxian sighed with relief – it was so good. Lan Zhan had stopped the horse in the middle of the road and now they were holding each other and kissing, losing themselves into it, forgetting everything around, and just basking in each other's tenderness.

- I know. – Lan Zhan replied a couple of minutes later when they had to break the kiss in order to catch their breath. – Sometimes it is hard for me to believe it, but I know, Wei Ying... -  he whispered, looking at him with adoration.

Wei Ying leaned in on Lan Zhan's chest, and snuggled closer, while the taller boy picked up the reins again and sped the horse. And this is how they travelled the rest of the road – hugging and riding on the same horse, just like before.

Wei Ying was happy. Today was going to be a good day and he was smiling to himself, giving Lan Zhan's throat a small kiss from time to time.
