"Oh no!", Nova peeped nervously when she saw three extremely large dragons descend from the sky. "We- we have to help them!"

She jumped up, but Gwaihir grabbed her by her tail with his talon.
"Wait", he chirped quietly. "Wait until they are below the trees."

He and Nova both crouched down and anxiously watched the dragons crash through the canopy.

"Now!", Gwaihir instructed and shot forward when the dragons were out of sight.

Both blackbirds flew through the dead forest, easily evading the branches and slipping through the canopy.
Ahead of them, they could hear a lot of growling and they sped up as much as they could.

"Caerinn", Esma acknowledged the sapphire-blue dragon and inclined her head. Despite her calm appearance, her heart was thumping widly inside her tiny chest.

The Swedish Short-Snout looked at her suspiciously while trying to free Leona from the trees.
"You two are a far way from home."
Blue smoke puffed out of her nostrils.

Esma had always preferred the blue dragon over the others. She was the least hotheaded one.

"They bring... bad news", growled Leona and pushed herself forward. A tree snapped in half when her ruby-red scales scraped across its bark. "The Light Titan needs to be freed from some maniac before we all die."

"You expect me to believe that?", snapped Furis, the Hungarian Horntail. When she had landed, she had flattened countless trees around her, creating a clearing. Her large ember eyes bored into Swift's and Esma's. "Let's just eat them and be done with it."

"No!", hissed Leona and whirled around, accidentally smacking the Wyvern with her tail.

Acila growled annoyed.

"I think the birds are actually on to something. If the Light Titan can fix this, then we need to free her", said Leona sharply and narrowed her eyes at the Hungarian Horntail.

Furis bared her teeth at her.
"And what, travel all the way with our weakened children?"
She lifted her massive head to glare at the blackbirds.
"I do not care for anything you two have to say. In fact, I might just kill you right now."

"NOO!", something brown screeched and shot from the canopy straight into Furis' large eye. "Take that, you overgrown lizard!"

"Nova!", bellowed Swift.

Furis roared in anger and swiped at Nova with her talon. The blackbird swiftly fluttered to her other side and poked the dragoness into her second eye.

Gwaihir suddenly appeared and shot over to Furis ear, gripping the spikes tightly so he could hold on to her head.

"Leave our parents alone!", he yelled into Furis' ear, his voice echoing slightly down the large eardrum.
