The next morning I wake up to the sun shining in my face. I slowly open my eyes and realize where I'm at. I guess I'm not completely used to it yet. Luckily my classes don't start til next week, so I get to just chill out.
I get out of bed and head into the bathroom, I brush my teeth and go ahead and do my makeup for the day. I walk into the kitchen since I wanna cook breakfast, but that's when I realize that I don't have any kitchen utensils. No plates, bowls, pots, silverware, food, nothing.
I guess it's time to go shopping. I head back to my room and quickly pick out an outfit, which ends up being super cute.

Then I go through my purse and grab how much money I think I'll need. I leave my room and head downstairs, hoping to see Giselle, but she isn't at the front desk. She's probably in the back, getting some work done. I don't wanna bother her, so I just head out.
The only problem is, I don't know where the nearest grocery store is. I decide to turn left and just start walking. I get pretty far away from my building, then I see a man standing at a fountain.
I tap his shoulder and he turns around. "Oui?" He asks, raising one brow. "Bonjour, pouvez-vous m'indiquer le marché le plus proche?" I ask if he could point me in the direction of the nearest market. "Ah, bien sûr." He nods.
"À seulement trois pâtés de maisons de cette façon, puis prendre à droite." He points in a direction and tells me three blocks that way, then take a right.
"Merci beaucoup." I nod and smile. He smiles too, and I walk the way he pointed. I follow his directions and take a right after three blocks, then eventually, I notice a subtle little food market.
"Bienvenue!" One of the workers welcomes me. "Merci." I nod and start to look around. I grab a basket, and go down each isle. I get some cereal, fruit, stuff for salads, water bottles, milk, granola bars and some raw chicken I can cook for dinner. After I get all the food I need, luckily they have a section for appliances. I grab a big pot, and a small pot, two sets of silverware, some colorful plastic cups that'll be easy to clean, then some bowls and plates.
I walk over to the checkout and the worker takes my basket. "Bonjour, comment allez-vous?" He asks me how I am. "Très bien, et toi?" I answer and ask him the same question. "Bien." He says and I nod as he scans all my items.
"Merci." I say once he hands me the grocery bags. I walk out and head back home.
By the time I get back, it feels like my hands are about to fall off because I kind of got a lot of stuff. I walk through the front door, and Giselle looks up.
"Jennifér." She says kind of excited which makes me smile because French accents are literally just so cute- "Shopping?" She asks and glances at all my bags. "Yep. It was much needed." I say and she nods.
