"Honestly Jen, what the fuck!" Sage says to me while we're on facetime. "I knew that if I told you, then you would beg me to stay, and not let me leave." I say and she sighs.
"You have to understand Sage." I tilt my head. "You could've at least said goodbye..." She says, sadly. "Sage...I'm not gone for good. I've already planned on buying you a ticket, and flying you out here to see me." I tell her. "Really?" She asks and I smile.
"Yes. I've already been looking at tickets online." I tell her since I have. "I would love to see France..." She says and I giggle.
-
Once we end the call, I sigh and put down my phone. Sage is really upset, but I completely understand. I knew I wasn't going to tell her since she would probably lock me in her basement or something so I couldn't leave.
But she would've been really sad when I told her, and I wouldn't be able to go through that. It would've made me question moving to France overall, and I really needed to go through with this decision, for my own sake.
It's probably good it was so spontaneous. I would have overthought it too much.

"You seem off..." Charles says to me and I look up at him. "Huh?" I say since I wasn't really paying attention to him. "Are you okay?" He asks.
I roll my eyes. "Why does everyone keep asking me that.." I say. "Probably because you seem not okay." He says bluntly and I look at him.
"Well..?" He says since I stay quiet. "It's just school. That's all." I shrug. "School, school, school. It's always school. Isn't it?" He says. "Yep." I nod.
He sighs and goes back to putting clothes on hangers. "So when will you not be so busy with school? Because I want to go out." He says and looks at me.
"I don't know." I shrug and he looks at me, annoyed. "Well figure it out." He says and turns away.

*2 weeks later*
"Please come with me." Giselle tilts her head. "I don't know..." I say softly. "It's just two days at the beach. Don't you want a little vacation?" She asks me.
"Of course I do. But my schoolwor-." She cuts me off. "Don't say another word about school. You're coming with me, and that's that." She says and I can't help but smile.
"You're so needy." I say and nudge her. "So you'll go?" She asks and I roll my eyes. "Yes. I'll go." I say and she smiles. "Great! Start packing, we leave tomorrow." She says.
"K?" She tilts her head. "Ok." I nod. She leaves my room, and I pack a bag of clothes to last me for two days.
I really probably shouldn't go since I do need to catch up on some work, but I haven't been to a beach in France yet. So I'm kind of excited since I've heard they're gorgeous. Hopefully it'll take my mind off things.
-
"Ready?" Giselle asks once I get in the cab and sit beside her. "Mhm." I smile before the driver heads to the beach.
It takes about an hour to get there, but when we do, I realize that I'm glad I came. It's so pretty...the water is crystal clear. I wanna jump in it right now.
We get to the little rented house we're staying in, and set our stuff down. "This is so cute." I say, looking around the room.
