*jens pov*

I get to my house and quietly open the front door. I really don't want my mom to hear me and come talk to me. I go straight up to my room and take a shower.

Once I finish I change into different clothes and head down to the kitchen for some food since I think my moms asleep.

I get to the kitchen and open the fridge, observing the contexts. "You're home." My mom says from behind me and I jump a little. I turn around and she sitting at one of the stools to the island.

She sips her coffee and I just stare. "He didn't come back?" I ask and cross my arms over my chest. "Did you expect him to?" She forces a chuckle.

"Well, he's my dad, so-." I say since I'm literally his daughter. "That won't change his mind." She shakes her head. "What's that supposed to mean?" I furrow my brows. She goes to speak but I cut her off. "You know what, I don't wanna hear it. You already made it clear that I'm the reason he left, so I don't need anymore input." I shrug and she sighs.

"Where'd you sleep last night?" She asks. "Leah's." I say and turn around, continuing to look for food. "You 2 are close now, huh?" She asks. "I guess." I shrug.

"It's only because of Sofia." I lie and she nods. "Well, I'm going out." She stands up and walks over to the front door, grabbing her purse. "Where are you going??" I ask since she never leaves unexpectedly.

"Don't wait up." She says emotionless and walks out.

I hate this. It's like my mom is a completely different person now, and all this shit just happened yesterday. We were so close at one point. Sometimes I wish I could travel back in time when I was still her little girl, but at the same time I don't since I'm very annoyed with her right now. She's pushing this whole situation on me so she doesn't have to feel bad for it.

I grab my laptop and sit on the couch. I look through all the different images of apartments that our for sale near me. And with what Leah is paying me now, I could definitely afford an apartment for myself. The only thing that would suck is that I wouldn't be next door anymore and I'd have to drive here everytime I need to watch Sofia. But that's not too bad.

"I feel like I haven't seen you in forever-." Sage says to me. "Right. I've missed youuu." She gushes and I giggle.

"So what's new? How's the babysitting going?" She asks. "Great. It's going great." I nod. "I'm jealous that you're pay is so good-." She says and I smile.

"I might have to look into babysitting-." She says and I giggle. "I doubt anyone will pay as much as Leah does. Unless they have multiple kids." I say and she agrees.

"So how is she?" She asks. "Leah?" I tilt my head. "Yeah. With her whole ex husband situation." She says. "She's good. He's basically out of the picture other than when Sofia stays with him." I nod.

"I actually slept over at her house the other day after me and my mom got in that argument." I tell her. "Really?" She asks and I nod.

"She likes you that much, huh?" She asks and I press my lips. I stay quiet and look away. "What-?" She asks. "Nothing." I furrow my brows since I didn't say anything.

She tilts her head and looks at me like she's not stupid. She knows when I'm keeping something from her.

"Tell me." She says and I laugh. "I have nothing to tell you!" I lie and laugh, trying to convince her. She looks away and crosses her arms.

I roll my eyes since I know what she's doing. "Really-?" I ask and she keeps quiet. "That's really immature." I say but she doesn't care.

"Sage, c'mon. Stoppp." I say and poke her from across the table. I sigh and sit back in my seat. She sips her coffee and keeps her face turned the other way.

"Okay! Fine." I give in and she turns to me. "Something happened between me and Leah..." I say and she gives me a confused look. "Like what?" She asks, probably not expecting what I'm about to tell her.

I stare at her and bite my lip, not wanting to say it. Her jaw drops and her eyes widen. "You didn't-." She asks. "Didn't what?" I ask since I'm not sure she knows what I was gonna say.

"You fucked Leah-?!" She asks quietly since we're in a coffee shop. I didn't expect it to happen!" I say and put my hands up in defense.

"Oh my god. You're lying right??" She asks and I slowly shake my head 'no'. "Holy shit." She says and shakes her head, taking it all in.

"Was it good-..?" She asks. "Sage!" I laugh and hit her arm. "Was it??" She laughs. I look away then back at her. "I came 5 times.." I say and her eyes widen. "Goddamn!" She says.

"What the fuck Jennifer-?" She says. "How the hell are you out her pulling milfs??" She asks. "What can I say." I shrug and smirk.

She laughs and continues to think about all of it. "Wait- that's kind of a big deal though." She says. "How?" I ask and sip my coffee. "You babysit her daughter Jennifer." She says. "So?" I ask.

She sighs and looks at me. "I don't know I just feel like this could be the plot of some promiscuous movie." She says. "Is that a bad thing?" I ask. "How old even is she?" She asks.

"36." I say and she almost spits out her coffee. "I thought you knew-!" I say. "I knew she was older than us but not by that much-." She furrows her brows.

"It's not even that big of an age difference." I roll my eyes. "It's a 16 year age difference." She says, shocked. And I press my lips since I've never really thought about our age difference. I know how old she is, I just never think about it, especially since she looks so young.

"You can't do that again." She says. "Why not? You fuck around with people all the time. They've been older than you before too." I say.

"Yeah but not that much older. And I also wasn't babysitting their kid." She says, proving a point. "Whatever." I shrug.

We finish out coffee, and we both leave the shop shortly afterwards. Sage is somewhat right about what me and Leah did, but she's looking too deep into it. It's not like me and Leah are in love or something-, we slept together and that's all.
