*jens pov*

Once we got to Giselle's room, I let her pick a popular French movie that I've never seen. And I actually enjoyed it even though it was a little hard to understand.

The movie ended like 20 minutes ago, now we're just talking.

"Who's Leah?" She randomly asks and I tilt my head.  She tilts her head too, copying me and I smile a little. "Don't act clueless." She says. "She's just a friend." I shrug.

"A friend?" She asks, not believing it. "How do you even know about her-." I raise one brow. "I saw her text on your phone while you were in the bathroom.." She says and I press my lips.

I stay quiet and she just keeps her eyes at mine. "It's a long story." I say and look away. "I have time..." She shrugs and gives me this look.

"Well..." I start to say. I explain the whole situation to her and she just listens intently. I start from beginning to end, just really getting into it. I guess it feels good to get it off my chest. Leah made me promise not to tell anyone, but it doesn't matter if it's someone from a different country who doesn't even know Leah-.

I finish explaining and take a deep breath. "And that's that." I shrug, looking at her. She stays quiet and keeps eye contact. "Aren't you gonna say something?" I tilt my head.

"I didn't expect that.." She says. "You're full of surprises." She says and I chuckle. "Just don't judge me. I've had enough of that." I say since Sage thought it was so weird.

"I'm not judging. I've been in a situation like that myself actually.." She says and my eyes widen. "Really?" I ask, interested.

"Yes. I was tutoring a kid who lived here with his parents. And me and his father....well we had a thing." She says. "A thing??" I say and she nods. "The only difference is that the man was married." She says.

"Wow." I say softly. "Did you love him?" I ask. "I did. But he didn't love me. I was just a young girl he was using as a break from his wife." She shrugs. "I guess that's a difference too since this 'Leah' does love you." She says.

I force a small smile. "Well I'm glad we can relate on this. Because it's definitely not that common." I say and she giggles.

"So...you like girls?" She asks and I look at her. "I do." I giggle. "Leah is the first girl that really made me realize. I've always known that I'm attracted to girls, but she made it clear since I have a deeper attraction to her, other than just sexually." I say and she nods.

"Why didn't you tell me that you like girls?" She asks. "I don't know. I never really thought about bringing it up." I shrug.

"That's okay, I'm just glad you told me." She nods and I smile.

"Have you ever been with a girl..?" I ask softly and she smiles. "I have." She says and I smile real big. "Giselleee." I gush and nudge her arm.

"It's very common in France for people to experience with the same sex." She nods. "Although no one really thinks into their sexuality. They just want pleasure." She shrugs.

"Well have you thought about it? Your sexuality." I ask. "Here and there. I know that I like girls." She says and I smile.

I don't know why, but I like talking about this with people. Especially when their so open to it. It makes me happy that they're figuring their self out.

"Well if you ever want to talk about it, you can always come to me." I assure her and she nods. "Thankyou." She smiles.

"I like you Jennifer." She tilts her head. "You're not like any friend I've ever had." She says. "I feel that I have a deeper connection to you than any other friends that I've known for years." She says.

"That makes me happy. I feel the same about you." I smile and so does she. "You're specialll." I smile and lean into her a little. She laughs and shakes her head.

"You're special too Jennifér." She tilts her head. I look out the window and realize the sun is going down, and there's a pretty sunset.

She turns to see what I'm looking at then she grabs my hand, standing up. "C'mere." She says and I stand up too, following her.

She opens up her big window, and steps out onto a small part of the roof. I carefully step out too and shut the window. I walk up to Giselle who is sitting down with her feet hanging off the side of the roof.

"Giselle- I'm gonna die." I say, over exaggerating. "You're fine." She says and holds my hand as I sit down beside her.

I take the blanket that was draped over me, and put some on her. "Why didn't you show me this earlier?" I ask, looking at the horizon. "I don't know." She says softly.

I take a deep breath and lay my head on Giselle's shoulder, just enjoying the view.

*3 weeks later*

I throw my pencil down on my desk and rub my forehead. I don't know why, but these past few weeks have been really stressful. My classes are constant, and they've really been kicking my ass.

I've been so tired and annoyed. I'm just overall exhausted. Recently I've been isolating myself, just staying in my apartment, other than when I have to go to class. Me and Leah haven't called in a while, we just text here and there. But I made sure to send another package since I promised Sofia.

Even though me and Leah haven't been talking, I still think about her constantly. Sometimes to the point where its distracting me from my schoolwork. So I just try to get her off my mind.

Since I've been literally working for 3 hours, I decide to take a break. I stand up and walk over to my bed to lay down. I stare at my ceiling and just take a deep breath.

The one thing that I am happy about, is that my apartment is finally looking put together. I've been picking up cheap furniture here and there, and trying to decorate the walls. It looks pretty nice.

I end up falling asleep and taking like an hour long nap, until I wake up to my apartment door opening. I slowly flutter my eyes open, and Giselle walks through my bedroom door with a bag in her hand.

I smile softly while still laying down and she smiles back. We haven't really had time to hang out since I've been busy with school and just staying to myself. We still see eachother everyday since we both literally live here, but I like having her company when we're together, one on one.

"Hi." She says and walks in. "Hey." I say and sit up, running my fingers through my hair. "You okay?" She asks and sits on the edge on the bed.

"Yeah, just taking a break." I say tiredly. "Schoolwork?" She asks and I nod. "So what's up with you?" I ask. "Je t'ai apporté une baguette." She tells me she brought me a baguette.

I smile as she hands me the bag. "You're sweet, thankyou." I say. "Do you want to do something tonight?" She asks.

"Um-.." I say and glance over at my laptop. "I still have a lot of shit to do, so probably not tonight..." I tilt my head. She nods and looks down. "Another time though. I promise." I say and touch her arm.

She forces a smile and nods. "Ok, well, I'll let you get back to work." She puts her hand at my thigh before standing up and walking out.
