*leahs pov*

"Bye, have a good night." I say to some people as they walk off my front porch. I shut the door and put my attention on the people still here. People are slowly starting to leave, but there's still a good amount, including Jennifer.

"You want some desert mama?" I ask Sofia once I walk in the kitchen. "Yes please." She says and I get out the ice cream once she sits down.

Jennifer comes in the kitchen and Sofia makes her sit beside her. "Did your parents already leave Jen?" I ask her. "Yeah." She says. "Do you want some ice cream?" I ask her. "Mmm, I'm okay." She says. "No, have some with me." Sofia says and I hear Jennifer giggle. "Ok. I guess I'll have some." She says and I smile.

I get them both some ice cream then I go and talk to the rest of the guests.

About an hour or so later, the last of the guests leave. I go back in the kitchen and clean up the rest of the dishes. I saw Sofia take Jennifer up to her room earlier, so that's where they are now.

I finish cleaning, and right when I go to head upstairs, Jennifer comes down the stairs. "Hey." She smiles. "Hi. Did she wear you out?" I ask. "Oh she's fine." She giggles and comes down the rest of the stairs.

"Thankyou for coming. Sof would've been so bored if you weren't here." I tell her. "Oh yeah, of course." She says. "Do you need any help cleaning up?" She asks and crosses her arms over her chest. "Mmm, no, I think I got most of it already." I say.

"Alright, well I should head home." She says. "Ok." I nod. I walk her to the front door and open it for her. "I'll see you around Jennifer." I say. "Ok, just text me if you need anything." She says and I nod.

"Bye." I say and lightly kiss her cheek before giving her a hug. She goes back home and I head up to Sofia's room.

"2 weeks later"

"What now, Leah?" Angelo asks annoyed. "I didn't even say anything." I furrow my brows. "Yeah well I can see sit in your face mama. We were married for 13 years, I don't need you to tell me how you feel for me to know." He says.

"I'm- just tired." I shrug. "And I'm just trying to make conversation." He defends himself. "You're coming to pick up your daughter. We don't have to conversate." I shrug.

He sighs and it gets quiet again. These talks with your ex husband are never fond. Sometimes I wish he'd just move out of the state so I don't have to deal with him, but that would break Sofia's heart.

Angelo was always a really great and loving dad. Sofia had so much fun with him. But time flies and people change after some certain term of events. He's still his charming witty self, but that just makes me wanna punch him in his face. He's a dick, and he knows it.

"Are you still seeing her?" I break the silence, deciding to ask what I wanted to in the first place. He leans back in his chair and sighs. "Yes. Why wouldn't I be?" He raises one brow. I press my lips and shake my head.

"If I find out that bitch is around Sofia again, then you don't have to worry about picking her up anymore....ever." I say and stand up. I go upstairs and walk into Sofia's room. "You all packed?" I ask and she stands up, grabbing her bag. "Yep." She nods.

I take her downstairs, then she leaves with her dad. I watch as they drive off then I head inside. It always hurts watching my baby leave, but I try not to worry too much since she'll be back.

And I'm lucky since I'm technically the one with full custody, I just let her dad take her sometimes for her sake.

I go upstairs to my room and change into some sweatpants. I sit in the comfortable chair in the corner of my room, and turn on the lamp beside me. I start to read some random book I bought awhile ago. Luckily I don't have work today or tomorrow since it's the weekend, and I don't have work Monday either.

I continue to relax until I get bored and go downstairs to cook dinner.

I do miss Sofia whenever she leaves, but it is nice to have a break once in a while. Of course I'd be fine without a break, I mean, she's my kid, I'm basically supposed to be with her 24/7.

I definitely think that's one thing with me and Angelo. He didn't know what he was getting himself into. When he first found out I was pregnant, he was so scared and worried. He'd never thought about having a baby, then here I come, 2 months knocked up.

But he surprised me for sure. I thought he'd be hesitant when it came to raising Sof, but he was so good with her. She was always a daddy's girl, until everything happened. Like I said before, people change.
