Chapter 9 (Prelude to a Prelude)

"You and Mr. Ace will marry today Alex."

"What?" Alex is really surprised.

Ace is sitting on the couch; while she and Michelle remain standing, she refused to take a sit when asks by Michelle.

"You and Mr. Ace will marry today."

"Yeah, I heard you the first time! and why would I do that?"

"Because, you don't have a choice." Ace answered in a cold voice, he's not looking at Alex, instead he's looking at his nails like it's an ordinary day and there's no commotion going on.

"Of course I have a choice, I chose not to marry you, are you insane?"

"Alex please calm down." Michelle tried to calm Alex.

"NO! I am not going to calm down." Alex faced Ace "You are f****** insane there is no way I'm going to marry a son of a b**** like you, I'M OUT OF HERE!"

Alex walks towards the door but Ace grabbed her, Alex fought and resist but Ace is really angry, he held her hands and dragged her upstairs, when they reached the room Ace let go of Alex.

"Why are you doing this?"

"I told you Alex, I like you."

"That's convenient" Alex scoffs, "You like me...just like that? And what does liking me gives you the right to kidnapped me and force me to marry you, you scumbag!"

"Because I know if..."

Ace stop, he looks at Alex, he softened a little, but when he saw Alex face, those eyes telling she's disgusted of him, Ace plastered the cold blooded image again.

He fell in love once, give everything to the woman he loved, they're about to marry, then on the day of their wedding she dumped him, over the phone, his fiancee run away with his best friend.

Ace told to himself, every woman would be on his feet, he will get everything he wants, and he did. It's been a while since he felt like what he is feeling for Alex now, but she's so distant, she's close yet so far, the more he tried to be near her, the more she distance herself to him.

There is no way he would let happen what happened to him before, he gets everything he wants, and he will get Alex.

"Alex, there are only two ways to do this, the easy way or the hard way. Either way will both not be easy for me, there is no easy way doing this but I have to do it!"

Alex glared at Ace, she walks towards the door and when Ace tried to stop her Alex slaps him on the face. Ace was stunned for a moment then he looked at Alex with anger, Alex is the only woman who have the courage to slapped him and this woman is really trying his patience Ace slammed her on wall and grabbed her face.

"Look at me!"

But Alex didn't obey Ace, she look down and push him back.

"I said look at me Alex!" Again there's authority in his voice.

Alex look at Ace, her eyes are misty, she's afraid of Ace but if she will keep on resisting this man things would be ugly. If she will push Ace more there is that chance that he would hit her and she can sense that Ace can hurt her. If he is capable of kidnapping her and force her to a marriage then  he's certainly capable of doing anything to her.

Ace saw at Alex eyes she's afraid of him... AFRAID! that's not what he wants. Ace again softened, but just for a moment, he went back to being angry again.

 "Like i said to you in Paris I get everything I want Alex and I want you and you can't say no to me because I won't let the thing I want the most slipped through my fingers. You are going to marry me, NOW!"

Alex didn't utter a word when Ace let go of her she didn't stop herself from sobbing. Ace took a deep breath while he brushes his hand onto his nape. He looks at Alex, she's crying and he can't help his yearning emotion towards her but Ace ignores the feeling.

'Not now Ace, not yet!' he told himself.

He reaches for the door and called Chloe, Tony, Chase and Michelle. Ace orders them to convince Alex and they have two hours to convince her before the ceremony.
