chapter 10 (The Wedding)

When Alex came out from her shower she's surprised when she saw Mr. Fletcher.

"Andrew! What are you doing here?"

"Mademoiselle, I won't miss this moment, I will personally make sure you are going to be the most beautiful bride of the century."

Mr. Fletcher introduces his assistants to her.

"Come, come, mademoiselle, we don't have so much time the wedding is in an hour and fifteen minutes."

Alex followed Mr. Fletcher but she's like a zombie doing what Mr. Fletcher's asks her to do. She  allowed Mr. Fletcher's assistants to do her make-up and her hair. She doesn't like what is going on but she has no strength to oppose.

'This is just a nightmare, I will wake up soon.' Alex said only to herself.

Mr. Fletcher hand her gown to his assistant then he took the head dress and give his assistants some instruction.

"Remember, this head dress needs to be perfect, call me when you're done with her." Then he left with Michelle.

Mr. Fletcher assistant put her head dress after she wore her wedding dress, one of the assistant gave her shoes and while other one called Mr. Fletcher.

Mr. Fletcher came in with Tony, Chase, Chloe and Michelle and there is a surprised look in their eyes. Alex wondered, what does she look like? She saw Mr. Fletcher's assistants are pleased after they were done with her.

Tony grabbed the life size mirror on the corner of the room so Alex can see herself. She didn't manage to avoid herself to gasped, her gown is made with silk and laced with the color ecru, her hair is braided and there's little silver flowers around her head. Her gown reveals her beautiful neck and shoulders and Mr. Fletcher didn't let her wear anymore accessories than a pair of earrings which is the same replica of silver flowers on her hair. Her beautiful face needs to be noticed and a necklace would be inconvenient.

"Perfect!" Mr. Fletcher admired her reflection on the mirror.

"My mom always said every woman in the world became the most beautiful woman on the day of her wedding." Alex eyes become misty "Under the circumstances I never thought I would be..." Alex tears fell.

"Oh dear, please don't! your make up will be ruined." Michelle comforts her.

"Do not worry Michelle, I know mademoiselle will be emotional today so I used a water proof make-up."

"Even so, you need to compose yourself Alex." Michelle said with concern.

Alex took a deep breath, Chase hand her the tissue. Mr. Fletcher gave her the bouquet.

"And she's ready" Mr. Fletcher said then motions his hand like he's showing Alex to the rest of the people in the room.

"Good God!" those words freeze all of them.

Ace is at the door flustered, he slowly walks towards Alex.  Ace is staring at her as he continue to come closer when he reached her he tried to touch Alex's face but he controlled himself.

"God, you're beautiful." Ace said but it's almost as a whisper.

"You know, there's a saying its bad luck to see the bride before the wedding." Tony said to Ace with respect.

"That's okay Tony, I have my lucky charm and I'm looking at her right now." Ace said, he didn't remove his gazed at Alex.

"Please don't do this" Alex pleads.

"Could you guys give us a second?" Ace turn her eyes to his people they all left them afterwards.

Ace took a small box from his pocket then take the ring outside that little box and hand it over to Alex.

"I should have given you this when we are in Paris but you never gave me a chance." Ace took her right arm, Alex resist. "You gonna need to wear this on your right finger because that's what women do on the day of their wedding you can put it back where it was or I should say where it should be after the wedding."

'It ain't about the proper finger... it's the ring... I don't want it!' But Alex can't say the word; she let Ace put the ring on her right ring finger.

"Perfect!" Ace said then he walk towards the personal refrigerator on the room he took some mineral water then went back to Alex. He took a bottle of pills on his other pocket and hand it to Alex.

"Take this; it will keep you remained calm." Ace ordered Alex.

"I am not going to take that!" Alex refuse.

"You need to do what I told you; there are fifty guests on this island and I don't trust you wouldn't make a scene, take this or things would be very unpleasant."

"Fifty guests, what guests?"

"Close friends, five of them are families and both of our parents are waiting for us and of course Tracy, she's your maid of honor."

"I don't...what...how... why are my parents here?"

"Their only child is going to get married today, of course they wouldn't miss it."

"You bastard!" Alex punched him on the chest. "I can't believe you involved my parents, how could you?"

Ace grabs her arms punching his chest and wrapped his other arms on her waist.

"Stop acting like a child Alex! if you don't quit acting like this I will do what I think is necessary. Don't make me call Tony and Chase, it's either you take the pill or they will inject you the drug." Ace warns her "your choice!"

Alex compose herself then took the pill. When the ceremony begins Alex mind is shouting and she resists everything that is happening but nobody could sense that because she's all but calm. When she was getting dressed she was like a zombie but she's planning to ruin this moment and she has no intention of exchanging "I do's" with Ace. But now the moment has come she can no longer resists and execute the plan she had in mind a while ago, she's all calm and kept on doing what Ace wants.

The vow, the rings, the kiss, she's aware of what is going on but she has no strength to stop everything. When they cut the cake and drink the champagne she was all smiling. Ace would always whisper on her ear "Smile Alex, smile" and she will smile, when Ace said do this and do that she will follow, she obey everything Ace asks her.

And then the moment that she's so afraid of has finally came, the need to leave the guests and went upstairs to their room.

THEIR FIRST NIGHT!

Ace lifts her and carries her from downstairs up to their room. Ace told her to open the door and she did.

There were flowers and candles all over the room. Ace put her down on the bed. When she tried to take her shoes off her foot Ace stops her.

"Allow me" he said then he removed her shoes. 

Alex looks at Ace 'I hate you' her mind said.

But Ace can't hear her. He took his coat off then his tie and his shoes while he unbuttoned his shirt. He's gazing at her, after he took his shirt off Ace started to remove Alex's head dress he patiently remove each of those little silver flowers from her hair when he's finished he held her face and plant a soft kiss on her forehead. Alex moves his head and avoid Ace. 

He cupped his hands on her face and ordered "Make love to me Alex!"

In her mind Alex is screaming NO! But her body didn't resist Ace when he pulled her on the bed, she allowed Ace to kiss her and she responded to his kisses. When Ace start to undress her  she give in and helped him to remove her wedding dress. Alex fought the drug that wears her whole being, she gathered her mind and her strength but before Alex can stop Ace he took her.

"Your mine Alex, your mine!" Ace whispered in her ears repeatedly as he took her.
