chapter 17 (The Wonder Of Ace)

Ace became the guy Alex never had imagined, he continue to sleep on the couch and he didn't force her anymore into anything. Alex continue to received bouquet of flowers whether Ace is around or at work. When he's on the island he personally pick and arrange the flower for her and when he's not a sea plane will come over to deliver the flowers to her every day.

 And he's very civil especially when his friends are around. He smile constantly, he laughs, he played guitar and Ace is always in a merry mood. And Alex often wondered maybe Ace is just putting an act, behaving like a real gentleman in front of his friends.

But to her surprise Ace do really changed! She has proven that one time when they're alone in the island.

Ace invites her outside.

"Dinner is waiting for you." He said.

A candle lit dinner is waiting for them in the beach under the moonlight and near the wave of soft breeze of the sea. The bright of the moon, dim lights with candles, the relaxing music coming from somewhere, it was so romantic.

Ace hand him a bouquet of flowers after she occupied the sit he offered her.

"Who are you?" Alex asks.

"What do you mean?"

"What are you doing? how did you become a different guy all of a sudden and what did you do with the devil?" Alex's brows are furrowed and she's eyeing Ace.

Ace laughs softly as he occupied the chair opposites her.

"I am still the devil...as you called me."

"I'm not kidding! could you please tell me what is going on because you made me nervous? One more nice gesture from you and I swear to God I am really will freak out."

Ace looks at Alex 'oh don't give me that look' Alex told only to herself, that's the kind of look Ace gave at her when he serenades her on the beach.

And Alex admits to herself that those eyes and that kind of look melts her heart. Those eyes that she found creepy or angry has been gone for a while and this fast few days she would find Ace staring at her...just like that.

"We start off on the wrong foot Alex and I want us to start over again and this might be absurd to you..."

"Well of course it is really absurd."

"Could you just let me finish first please?"

'OMG! did he just said please?' She asks again only to herself, well... that's surprising. "I'm sorry, go on." Alex said

"We've been married for four months now and ..."

"It's five actually; we've been married for five months."

"Which part of let me finish first didn't you understand?" Ace is not angry but he's actually amused with Alex being adamant. "But it's nice of you to remember how many months we've been together by the way."

"Because that's how long I have been imprisoned in this island."

"I'm so sorry about that, I might have a solution to that but it's not going to happen yet. As I was saying, we've started off on the wrong foot and we skipped one of the vibrant part of our relationship..."

"There's vibrancy in this relationship?"

Ace smile 'there she goes again' he said to himself.

"You really are not a patient woman are you?" Ace furrowed his eyebrows but there's a tender smile plastered on his lips.

Alex shuts her mouth, she felt embarrassed for it looks like she's interested with what Ace is going to say. That she can't wait to hear the details and it's true she started to feel she's interested with Ace and everything that he will say.
