Chapter 22 (Things Are Different)

(Last night, I feel so low that I wanted to post message on every on-going series I have and tell my readers I will stop writing, that I feel terrible I don't deserve to write, that all my readers are great writers and they can end my story to themselves. It's up to them what kind of ending they would want. Then I talked to some people and they are right. I love what I do, it doesn't matter if I am successful or not. I have readers, good people who support me all the way. And I care about this people that I shouldn't let them suffer because of my pride. And I love my characters. My heart is so into those characters that I created a world for them and it was amazing. Other people might not like what I do but who cares? I shouldn't care about the numbers of reads; I should care about my readers. You know who you are people. Too many to mentioned, now I feel happy with that words "TOO MANY TO MENTION", imagine that...so I will continue writing for you guys and for myself, because I love what I do and I cared for those good people out there who care. When Alex woke up in the hospital she saw Tony, Chloe and Chase. Michelle is not there and so does Ace.

"Is my baby okay?" Alex's eyes started to get wet.

"It's okay Alex" Chloe hold her hand "The doctor said you can have another one."

"What do you mean...I can...have...another...one?"

"You've lost the baby Alex" Tony said, there were sadness in their faces.

"Does Ace know?"

"He stayed up all night with me and Michelle last night, he and Michelle has to leave for work this morning."

"What did he say? what his reaction was? he didn't know... I was about to tell him last night but..."

"Shush...you need to rest Alex" Chase said.

Days came until Alex needs to check out in the hospital, Ace didn't pick her and he didn't even bother to visit her again. She's been at the hospital for days and everybody went to check on her but not Ace, not even a phone call.

When Ace came home that evening Alex is awake for she is waiting for him. When Ace saw her on sitting on the bed he kisses her on her forehead but Ace seems cold. No 'how are you?'...no words... nothing.

"I'm sorry Ace." Alex said. 

"For what?" Ace stop from walking towards the dresser and turn back his eyes at Alex "For you have lost my son intentionally?"

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"I know you're pregnant, I heard you talked to Michelle when we arrived here and that evening I ask you if there is something you wanted to tell me and you said nothing. I've waited Alex and you haven't said anything, then I came home that evening...."

"It was an accident"

"Why didn't you tell me you were pregnant?"

"I wanted to tell you Ace, I'm just waiting for the right moment."

"Yeah right, the day we came home here, my father asks you when you will give them a grandson? You knew that evening you were pregnant! why didn't you tell them? Why did you keep it a secret?"

There was anger on his face, his eyes is glaring at Alex. The passion from his eyes had gone already and there's no gentleness in his voice, Ace is so furious.

"I thought you don't want to have kids."

"Are you f****** kidding me, where did you get that idea."

"That evening when your father asks when we are going to have a baby you said it needs planning, it's not the right time...I thought you're just making excuses and you can't tell your father you don't want to have kids and..."

Ace stops her.

"Are you crazy? I only said that because my father would put pressure on you. How can you be so stupid Alex?"

"I'm sorry Ace..."

"Are you?" Ace asks and then he left the room.

After that evening, it's very seldom that Ace went home and when he's at home he rarely speaks with Alex. Alex tried to explain things to Ace, the dinner, how did she have the accident. But Ace never gave her a chance.

Months had passed and Ace is always on business trip. He ignores Alex's calls and when he's home he continue to ignore Alex but Alex didn't give up, she so patient and try her best to settle things with her husband but Ace is blinded with his anger.

Then one day, Alex received a call from the family lawyer. She met him in their home. The lawyer handed him a folder.

"What's this?"

"Divorce paper, Mr. Ace wants you to sign those and he said he needs your signature ASAP.
