Chapter 22 "Later"

Two months has passed since I left canton. I'm now returning canton for Nicole's and nicks graduation. Everyone was waiting for my arrival at the airport. My plane has landed. I see everyone there I even see CartexzCat next to Nick smiling at me. Alexis yelled "carter!!!!" And everyone ran to me Nick picked me up and hugged me and said "we missed you so much." I missed all of you so much." In my mind I asked myself "hmm wonder where's Michael and Oscar?"
We went started to head back to the college. We walked into the old dorm room. My area looks just the same as I left except my bed is made up. I turn to everyone and asked "say where's Michael and Oscar?" The room was silent then drake put his hand around my shoulder and said "Michael moved out once me and nick disagreed about Oscar moving in with us." I said "oh I see but why you guys?" Then drake said "its because it seems like he planned the whole thing." I frowned in disappoint. I sat on the bed and said "I guess the whole thing was a set up and that Oscar had this planned ever since I gave him approval to go here. (Granted that he never needed it.) then Alexis said "carter don't say that.. It probably wasn't the best that you two stayed together. You can cast your line out there again." It was silent then I broke the silence and said "I don't want to cast my line out there. It may have been two months (begins to cry) but It doesn't mean I don't love him and miss what we had. How dare of you to assume that I get around easily like that over my boyfriends." Nicole said "can we just have a good time?" Alexis just said "no.. He's right I was kinda being insensitive. " I said "listen I'm sorry, I didn't mean to snap on you. This is suppose to be a happy reunion. I just still love him and I'm just not facing the truth." I fell to my knees and broke. Everyone just wrapped their arms around me. Then drake said "Craig...we get it." Then Nick said "we all been there we can definitely relate." Nicole added "come on let's get out of here let's head out to IHOP it's 11:15"

We headed to ihop. We all at the table Alexis is silent. I feel awful about how I snapped at her. Look what my love for a man almost broke a friendship of five years. Drake broke the silence and asked me "say carter how's school in Brentwood ? Is it really different from here?" I tapped the table and said "its quite fine but I rather dorming with my bros instead of being home all the time but home food is soooooooo much greater." Then Alexis said "how long did you take to talk to your sister again. Are you still in sga at the old school?" I responded with a chuckle " it took my like three days of silence in my room with crying and anger. And yes maybe the only thing down there I can escape from home but you already knew that... Although there was a really cute guy that joined the same day I came back... He's mega cute and funny he accepted me with open arms." Alexis said that's great everything transferred through and everything?" I went silent. Everyone looked at me and said "Craig.." I looked to the floor and said "guys I haven't been completely honest with you." Nicole said "what you mean? What's going on Craig.?" I continued "guys my grades transferred one of classes plummeted to the floor.. Since I left with a test I missed. And it resulted me getting an F. And scary enough it that grade knocked me right into probation for next semester. My g.p.a dropped 1.4.. So drake school is awful honestly. Lexxy they found out the day I walked in. Asked a few questions and was told to focus on my work.. I'm here because my parents only let me come here for pity from ripping me you guys because it did play part In my grades falling." The whole table looked at me with disappoint. I got up and left the table and headed outside. I said " I aplogize for the disappoint and the wasting of your time. For seeing a failure." I sat on the bench just staring into sky. Then Alexis came and sat next to me. I said "man I forever now hate "Thursdays" for that situation and that conversation only Ayanna and paluetena and your brother know of it...buts it's whatever I guess I have no other forms of comfort zone any longer."
Alexis just wrapped her arms around me...
Forward to two days later, the day of Nick and Nicole's graduation also the same day of as the banquet for sga. Me, Alexis, and drake. Was in the crowd just waiting patiently until Nick it Nicole name was called. I said to Alexis "the banquet is tonight you know." "She said yes I know my bro reminded me and asked if I wanted to go. I said sure I'm leaving tonight after this with drake right drake? Drake turned to us and said "about that fancy party tonight in your town yeah." I said "i guess I'll stay here for tonight with Nick and Nicole." Drake said "chances are slim they usually go out in days like this. I pouted and said "so great I'm going to be here alone." Then the announcer called Nicole Perez. We three got up and cheer here and took pictures of her, same thing with Nick. After the graduation we all went out to eat. A few hours later Alexis and drake left off to Brentwood and Nick and Nicole left out. I was all alone in the dorm bored out of my life then I heard two knocks. I open the door to see Michael alone. He cut his hair and looked different. I said "Michael.. Why hello. It's been two months." Michael teared up and hugged me and said "yes it has Craig.. Yes it has I miss having you around.." Then he pulled away from me and I ask him "where have you been you missed Nick and Nicole's graduation and my arrival what took you Mikey.." He sat me and him on my bed and said "listen Craig I'm sorry I missed your arrival and the graduation it's because I've been down lately." I looked at him he was about to cry. He continued and said "I've been down because me and Oscar got into a fight one night and he drove off campus and a drunk driver t-boned him.. He's been hospitalized for a week and today was confirmed...that he didn't make it.. He died right as graduation started." Then Michael just broke down crying... I say "oh my god.." And wrapped my arms around him. Michael squeezed me tight and said "I loved him and you I couldn't choose and killed himself for it. He succeeded what I tried. He's gone and never coming back Craig. I'm the reason.." I took off his glasses and wiped the tears streaming down his face and said "Michael it's not your fault I understand you got into that fight but it was his choice to leave the school." Michael looked at me and asked "carter you're right I love you. Thanks for still being there for me even after all shit I put you through.. What are you doing tonight ? Where is everyone it's like a ghost town?" I rested my head on his chest and said "drake and Alexis went back to Brentwood for this banquet thing for sga. Michael looked at me and said "aren't you in that? Why aren't there? I heard that this women named Megan white and Marcus from maxwell industries is hosting the event." I got up and started circling around the dorm and said "geez that place is going to perfect then I feel stupid that I can't go because my grade point average fell a good degree. It sucks majorally because I really wanted to slow ball room dance with a guy tonight." Michael smirked and said ' That sounds ridiculous but cute.." I playfully punched him in the Arm and jokingly said "hush it is not ridiclous...it's bit of a fantasy sad to say." michael got up and said "craig meet me in the lobby in an hour okay... and get dressed fancy." i grabbed his hand and said "why..? and why fancy dress?" he ignored the questions and left out the dorm. But I went along with this whole charade just for the fact I had nothing else to do tonight. An hour passed by I was waiting quietly in the lobbyeven though He was a bit late. he showed up in a black tuxedo same as i did. He had a blindfold in his hand. He said to me "put this on.." and handed me the blindfold. I put on the blindfold and said " Michael I don't like the vibe i'm getting from this because the last time you had me put on a blindfold it lead to us doing it." Michael sucked his teeth and said "carter please just trust me." I trusted him and we began to walk off. We was walking for at least 20 minutes then we stopped I asked him "Michael... We stopped." He took off the blindfold. What I saw was absolutely beautiful. It was slightly light up with orange and pink lanterns and authentic looking cherry blossom trees. I said "Michael the courtyard looks absolutely beautiful.." Michael held my hand and said "I know you'll like the setup because the asian culture club decorated this place for their lunar new year last month." I leaned my head on his chest and whispered "you really remember every detail of my dreams and fantasies book I gave you." He hugged me and said "of course I do I read it over three times while you were gone and twice when you was here... Carter I have one more question."
I rose my head up to him and asked "yes..? Michael.?" He then held his hand out and asked "Craig carter will you have this dance with me?" I grabbed his hand and said "I'll be honored to." He walked me to the middle of the courtyard and snapped his fingers loudly. Piano music started playing. We started dancing to the piano music, it was absolutely perfect the wind was blowing slightly causing cherry blossoms to flutter and dance with us. The music stopped and I rested my head in his chest and he held my hands. I closed my eyes and said "oh..Michael..I love you.." Michael said "I love you too Craig. You made this night absolutely the best." He put me on his back and carried me back to my dorm I fell fast asleep. I woke up in his arms and it was morning time. I heard someone knocking on the door I assumed it was Nick. I opened the door it was Nick. He said said "morning boys, I see Michael is back." Michael said "yup that's right, congrats on graduating. Sorry I couldn't make it." I snuggled my head on Michael's chest, he kissed me on my cheek. Nick said "oh.. Look at you two are you two a thing again.?" It was an eerie pause between the three of us. Then I said "maybe..were still deciding right Michael ?" Michael shook his head yes.
Then Nick got up on his bed and said "if you need me I'll be taking s nap," we both said "alright good morning.,?" We laughed and I saw Michael looked like he got his feelings a bit hurt. I looked at him and said "you alright Michael ?" He just turned head. I crawled on him and kissed him on his cheek. He smiled and scuffed my head. Then we both started laughing, suddenly our eyes connected. My face started to flush same with him. We leaned into each other. Then our lips pressed against one another. We pulled away from each other. I turned my head from him and got out of bed and headed to the bathroom. I began to brush my teeth but while I'm doing I begin to hear nicks voice. "If you going to be back with carter. I mean it if you hurt him again. I'm going hurt you to the point of no return... Your glasses is going to one with your face." I walk back into the room where I see Michael frightened and pale. I run to Nick and gave him a hug and whisper in his ear "I love you.. Nick thanks." He just blushed and said "no problem."

A few hours passed and Alexis and drake finally return to the college. Alexis walks in with drake and stares at Michael. Drake said "what brings you back? here you turn your back on us" Michael stayed silent. Drake raised his voice and said "well?! What the hell are you doing here?!" Alexis slapped his shoulder and said "quit it drake... I agree what Michael did is kinda wrong." And she goes to hug him. Put Michael rejects it and gets up and said "I'm going to go. Thank you Alexis and Craig for still enjoy having me around. Drake and Nick hates me." I got up and grabbed his arm and said "Michael please don't go .. I don't think I can handle you walking out on me again." Michael stood up motionless and said "Craig I love you still but it doesn't feel right in a way. Just because Oscar died I don't think it gives me the right to go exploring." Alexis yelled "what?! Oscar is de-dead?!" Drake said "what the hell? How and when did he die."
"Car accident..." Michael said quietly, he began to walk away. I yelled and ran and hugged him from behind and said "Michael please don't go.." I begin to cry. Michael turned back to face me and he hugged me. I cried "Michael pleased don't walk away from please. Don't let me go. I love you." He started rubbing my head and said "Craig.. I won't let you go.." Then he grabbed my chin and started kissing me. It felt so real all over again like the time he saved me on the bus. I think he's the one honestly I said to myself.

Michael Aguilar I believe you might be the one that I love and trust with me. I don't care if my friends doesn't like you anymore but I still do. You're one in a million even though in total we've been dating six months. Baby heaven is waiting for you I'm you're heaven.
He held my hand and looked at me and said "Craig can I speak to you outside." I shook my head yes and he pulled me outside the dorm and closed the door. I looked into his gentle chocolate eyes. He pulled me into him and kissed me started filling me up. I blushed and moaned "ah.. Michael..!❤️😽" then Michael began to speak "listen Craig I'm still in love with you. Can we start all over ?" I smiled and said "yes Michael Aguilar, yes" and hugged him. Michael began to lift me up and put me against the wall. We just started making out. We stopped for a brief moment and Michael said "I'm going to go back to Suffolk with you." I said "Michael..? Why you're doing fine for yourself for here, plus it was a pain getting your parents permission to transfer." He stroked the side of my cheek and said "I don't care.. I rather be close to you than far away. And judging from a brash choices when we're under the weather. I just think it's safer for us. finally I hate Long distance relationships." I kissed him and said "I love you. I want to have you close too. Can you let me down ?" Michael loosen his grip and I slide down the wall. I hop on his back. He yelled "arg! Craig are you serious ?! Not this now." I'm laughing and were stumbling down the hallway I said "come on Mikey you can handle this kitty and you're my horsy. Ride horsy ride.!"
Everyone from our dorm walked out the room. Nick yelled "what are you two back together?" We turned around and said "yesss Nick." I winked at him and said "that's right my teddybear." Drake face-palm and said "carter.. I thought you hated him ?" I smiled at him and said "I did." Alexis said "I just don't get it. Some love is just so confused."
Me and Michael both looked at them and said "I guess we're both confused. This you guys is the confusions of love."
