Jenna groaned when her alarm went off. She was not prepared to deal with today. Valentines day.

She had almost always been single on Valentine's Day, but so was Tay. They usually spent it together eating icecream and watching cheesy romantic comedies, yelling at the characters on screen and telling them how much they sucked.

That wouldn't happen today though. Tay was going on a date with Hayley, which left Jenna alone. She tried joining the guys in their attempt to sneak into a club and pick up single, desperate girls, but they told her she couldn't come. She would ruin any chance of another girl talking to them.

So she was on her own.

She got dressed in the first thing her eyes landed in. Not bothering to actually check what it was before putting it on and heading to school without breakfast. When she arrived she regretted getting out of bed.

All she saw were couples. Exchanging gifts, hugging each other, and sucking face. She sighed and walked into the school to find Tay.

She was sitting in the hallway outside of Hayley's room like she did every morning. But when Tay saw Jenna she leaped up and tackled her into a hug.

"Happy Valentines Day!" She screamed.

Jenna chuckled at how excited her friend was. "Happy Valentines Day. Excited for your date?"

Tay nodded frantically, a huge smile plastered on her face. "You have no idea but are you sure it's okay?"

Tay had asked her earlier in the week if she would be okay being alone. Tay knew they usually spent it together and she didn't want to upset her. Especially with her newly discovered feelings. But of course Jenna said she would be. She couldn't ruin her date. She promised they would go back to normal and normal Jenna wouldn't do that to a friend.

"Yes. It's fine. I promise. Go have fun."

Tay looked her friend up and down and furrowed her brow. "Are you sure? Because you haven't looked this much like a hobo since the Gustav incident."

Gustav was a boy Jenna had liked in middle school. He was two years older than her and kind of a douche, but she didn't know that at the time. When he found out about her crush he asked her out, but when he showed up at her house to pick her up he and a few of his friends threw eggs at her.

Jenna was so upset by it she dressed in sweatpants and hoodies for a week. It wasn't until Tay successfully swapped his shampoo with Nair that she got back to her normal self.

Jenna looked down at herself now. She sighed when she saw what she was wearing. Sweatpants and a hoodie.

"I'm alright Tay. Don't worry about it. It's just..."

"That it's Valentines Day and you're alone and you don't have your best friend." Tay finished. "I'll call it off with Hayley. We can celebrate another time."

"No." Jenna said firmly. "Look, does it suck I'm alone today? Yeah, but I'm not going to stop you from going out with your girlfriend just because if it. I mean, come on Tay. This is the first time you've been with someone on Valentines Day. Let her romance you."

Tay giggled. "Romance me? Really Jen?"

They both laughed at each other. "Okay. I'll go out. But you better be prepared, because tomorrow we're having a post valentines day movie marathon and there's no way of getting out of it."

Jenna snapped her finger. "Oh darn." She said sarcastically. Tay laughed at her friend. She was glad they were getting back to normal.

When the bell rang they both headed towards their first class of the day. School went by painfully slow the both of them. For Jenna, it was because she was miserable and for Tay, it was because she was so excited. When school finally ended they headed to their respected homes.

When Jenna entered her room she noticed something was slightly off. Her bed was made. Her bed was never made. When she stepped closer she saw a note laying on top of the covers. She picked it up and immediately noticed the loopy letters as Tays hand writing.

"Jen, I couldn't leave you home alone and bored while I'm out having fun so here's a scavenger hunt. Have fun. Love, Tay."

Jenna read the letter out loud and then smiled. This is why she loved her. She flipped the card over and read over the riddle and laughed.

"We both like boobs, that much is true, but there's and item in this house that likes them even more than you."

This was going to be one hell of a scavenger hunt.
