Chapter Twenty Four

"Mmm. Jenna." Tay moaned.

She popped another piece of sweet and sour chicken into her mouth and smiled at her best friend.

"You always know how to cheer me up. Thank you. I'm really stressing out right now."

Jenna pushed her friend playfully. "Of course. She's going to call you as soon as it's over, right?"

Tay nodded. "Right."

Today was the day of Hayley's trial. She was pretty sure Alex would tell the truth, but he could surprise her even more. She was stressed out. If Hayley was found guilty she didn't think she would survive.

"Okay." She said. "I need to distract myself from it so Jen, tell me. I want to know all about this 'Cassadee' girl."

After Jenna's first date with her she called Tay and told her who it was. Her name was Cassadee, but Tay knew her as slutty Belle from the Halloween party

Jenna blushed and played with her noodles. "I don't know. She's sweet. She has good music taste. I like her."

Tay gasped in fake shock. "Jenna likes a girl? Really, truly, likes a girl that isn't me? I don't think I'll live without the attention!"

Jenna punched her for being so sarcastic. "Shut up! You ruined it for yourself. You're an awful kisser."

Tay threw a piece of her chicken at her friend, which soon started an all out war. By the end of it, they both had fried rice in places fried rice should never be.

"I totally won." Jenna stated proudly. Tay just stuck out her tongue in response and then her phone rang. She already knew who it was.

"NOT GUILTY! THAT LITTLE BITCH CAN KISS MY ASS!"

Tay had to hold the phone away from her ear as Hayley talked. Tay laughed when she calmed down. "So you'll be back to school soon?"

"Bright and early Monday morning."

"And you're not being monitored anymore?"

"Nope."

Tay smiled. She could hear Hayley grinning as she talked.

"So if I wanted to come over...?"

"Tay." Hayley said. She sounded really serious compared to how she sounded before. "If you're not at my house in the next half hour, I will come there and kidnap you myself."

Butterflies erupted into Tays stomach and she smiled as big as humanly possible. "Okay. I'll be there soon."

She hung up at looked to Jenna, who just smiled at her. "Go to you lady. She's waiting. I'll clean up and head home. I'll text you tomorrow."

The two friends hugged and Tay left minutes later. Jenna looked at the mess in front of her and sighed.

"Why the hell did I offer to clean this?"
