Chapter Twenty

Jenna and Tay were awoken in the middle of the night by Tays phone ringing. Tay answered without checking caller id.

"Hello?"

"Tay! Oh my god. You're probably scared shitless."

Tay sat up in bed and Jenna perked up too. She knew who it was.

"Hayley! Holy shit! Yes. What's going on? Do they know? They know don't they?"

Hayley took a deep breath. "No, but they think they do. A student, they won't say who, apparently came forward and said I had been molesting them. It's complete bullshit Tay."

Tay was shocked by the news. Who the fuck would say something like that?

"I know it is. So what's happening?" She asked. Was she arrested? Could she come back to teaching until the trial?

"Well, they let me go because they have no evidence, but I can't come back to school yet and they're going to be monitoring me."

Tay furrowed her eyebrow. "Monitoring you? So, what? Am I not going to be able to see you?"

Hayley sighed. "I don't think so Tay. I really want to it's just..."

Tay nodded. "It's okay. I understand. When's the trial?"

"Two weeks from now. It's so long...god! This is so stupid!"

Tay could hear how broken Hayley was. She couldn't imagine being accused of something like that. And to go through it without seeing the one she loved... Tay wouldn't be able to handle it. But she knew Hayley. She was strong. She could make it.

"Hey, listen to me. You're going to be okay. You're going to get through these two weeks and then when the trial comes you're going to show the judge that that kid is full of shit. If anyone can convince them it's you. Okay?"

She heard Hayley take a few deep breaths. "Okay."

"Okay. Go home and get some sleep. I know you'll have a lot to do tomorrow. I love you, okay? It's all going to be alright."

"I love you too...goodnight Tay, and thank you."

Tay smiled. "Anything for you."

Tay hung up an turned to Jenna and hugged her. "What's going on? Hmm?" She said while returning her friends hug. Tay explains the situation.

"That's messed up. And they won't say who the kid is?" Tay shook her head.

"No but I'm going to find out."

A/N: What a douche bag, right? Tay will get her revenge though, because she's secretly a bad ass.
