"Jen?" Tay asked when she walked into her best friends room. Jenna was laying on her bed starring up at the ceiling. Tay laid down with her and copied her position.

"What happened?" She asked and Jenna sighed. "Nothing Tay. We just fought." She said, maybe a little to bitchy, but Tay brushed it off. "Over what?"

Jenna covered her face with her hands. Why was it so hard for her to lie to Tay?

"I...I said another girls name when we were..."

Tay nodded understandingly and then turned to her friend. "Who was it?"

Jenna bit her lip and shook her head. "I'd rather not say."

Tay looked at her for a moment and looked like she was going to ask again, but after awhile she nodded.

"Okay." She reached for one of Jenna's hands and interlocked their fingers. "But I'm here for you. Whatever you need."

It was to much for Jenna. She shouldn't be this caring. She shouldn't be touching her. It all felt to calming. She shouldn't feel this comfortable with her best friend. She realized she felt more comfortable with Tay here than she did with Cassadee and that scared her. She pulled her hand away and stood from the bed.

"Jenna? What's wrong?" The brown eyed girl asked.

Jenna was confused. She didn't like Tay. She didn't. She was her best friend. There was no spark. There was no spark. There was no-

"Jen?" Tay placed her hand on her friends shoulder. Jenna turned around quickly and without thinking, collided her lips with Tays.

No spark.

Tay was shocked and when she realized what was happening she gently pushed her friend away. "Jen..."

Jenna backed up after realizing what she had done. "Tay I didn't..."

Tay just shook her head. "It's okay Jen. Just talk to me."

Jenna wrapped her arms around herself and dropped her gaze. She couldn't look at her right now.

"It was your name." She said in a voice barely above a whisper.

"But I just...I don't get it." Jenna ran her fingers through her hair.

"There's no spark. There should be a spark but there's not. So I don't understand."

Tay furrowed her brow. "You don't understand what?" She asked.

Jenna sighed and finally resumed eye contact with her.

"Why I love you."

Tay was completely still for a moment. Jenna loved her? In a non-friendly way? Her Jenna? At first she was worried. This is what she was afraid of. That as soon as she came out, Jenna's feelings would come back, and they have. But then Tay remembered what Jenna had said. No matter what they'd always be best friends. So Tay smiled and wrapper her arms around her friend.

"I know it's not how you want me to, but I love you too Jen. I'll always have your back. Don't worry. You're not losing me over this."

The other girl nodded and slowly eased into the hug. She nuzzled into her friends neck and muttered a "Thank you."

Tay chuckled and hugged her tighter. "Of course and I won't tell Hayley if you don't want me to."

Jenna shook her head and Tay kissed her friends cheek. "Okay."

A/N: So...yeah. That happened. I'm not to proud of the way this chapter turned out but I needed to get the next one up. I might edit it later. Maybe. Probably not. Anyways, thoughts?
