Tay sat and looked between the two girls. Jenna seemed cool and collected. She was ready for an interrogation, despite Tay telling her to play nice. Jenna didn't care how old Hayley was or if she was her teacher, Jenna was still Tays best friend. It was her job to intimidate and interrogate.

Hayley didn't seem nervous though and Jenna decided that was a good sign. It meant she was strong.

Hayley had conflicting emotions about what was happening. She was of course, still jealous of Jenna, if only a little. Her rage toward her made her seem calm and stern but she was scared as well.

This was Tays best friend. Tay would listen to her more than she would anyone. What if she didn't approve once she sat down and really talked to her? What if she convinced Tay that they needed to break up? On the outside she remained calm but on the inside she was freaking out.

"So," Jenna started "obviously this is a weird situation."

Hayley nodded in agreement. "Obviously."

"So then let's not pretend like it's not. You and Tay are together. That's great. I'll try to keep kissing and flirting to a minimum for out act."

Hayley's jaw clenched a little at that statement. She was not going to kiss her again.

"Jen. Stop it. We're not kissing again and you know it. Stop trying to establish your place as alpha male or whatever you said to me earlier."

Jenna turned to Tay with a stern look on her face but it quickly softened and she began to smile. Hayley noticed how bright her smile was. She was beautiful, though not as beautiful as Tay. But she could see how someone would like her.

"Boo, you never let me have any fun. I wanted at scare the crap out of her. Make her sweat."

The two friends laughed at each other. Hayley watched the pair quietly. She felt slightly uncomfortable. They were so close and Jenna was attractive. What if Tay had lied? What if it wasn't an act?

"Look Ms. Willia-" Jenna caught herself, "-I mean, Hayley. Tay told me how you were jealous and whatever but trust me, you have nothing to worry about. Tays my friend and nothing more. I don't want to kiss her ever again. Ever. It was weird. Like, kissing a sister."

Hayley nodded her head slowly hoping that would be enough to convince them she understood but Tay wasn't buying it.

"Come on Hayley. Seriously. Me and Jen," Tay pointed between the two of them, "are just friends. Please don't make a big deal out of this."

Hayley didn't want to make a big deal out of it. She wanted to believe that their was nothing going on, but she couldn't convince herself otherwise.

"Jen and I." She said and Tay furrowed her eyebrow. "What?"

Hayley bit her lip and shifted uncomfortably on the couch. "You said me and Jen, it's Jen and I."

Tay groaned at the comment and stood up and pulled Hayley along with her. "Give us just a minute Jen." Tay said while pulling Hayley into the kitchen of her apartment.

Once the door closed Tay looked at Hayley expectantly. "What the hell Hayles! What's going on? Why are you being so...teacher-y." she said for lack of a better word. Hayley only shrugged.

Tay sighed and pulled Hayley into her arms. "Please don't be jealous." She whispered in her ear. "Please. I-I don't know how to prove to you that there's nothing going on but please just trust me." Tay voice was calming and at that moment it was all Hayley needed to hear to bring tears to her eyes.

She hugged Tay tighter and let a few tears fall silently before a sod escaped her lips. Tay immediately pulled back to look at her. The sight broke her heart. She wiped the tears away and kissed every inch of Hayley's face. Her forehead, her cheeks, her eye lids, her chin, and lastly her lips. When she was done she wrapped her in her arms again.

"What's wrong? Please tell me."

Hayley buried her head in Tays neck before speaking. "I...I just don't understand why you would choose me over her. She's perfect."

Tay laughed at her words. "Trust me she is far from perfect, but that's not the point. She's my friend Hayley, and yeah she's gay and Australian, and good looking but she's not the one I really care about. She's not the one I lov-" Tay caught herself. "I mean..."

Hayley pulled out of the embrace and looked Tay in the eye. She knew what she was about to say, but she didn't want her to stop. She wanted to hear it.

"No. Say it."

"Hayley I didn't mean-"

Hayley just shook her head and smiled. Telling Tay that she wasn't freaking out. So Tay smiled back.

"She's not the one I love." She finished. She searched Hayley's face trying to find the most amazing part about it. She looked at her lips for a second but then shifted back to her eyes before saying how she had been feeling. "I love you."

As soon as the words left her mouth Hayley's lips were on hers. The kiss didn't last long before they both broke out into huge smiles. "I love you, too." Hayley said resting her forehead on Tays. They smiled at each other for a while before they remembered Jenna in the other room.

Hayley wiped her face to clear all the tear stains off before they headed back into the living room hand in hand.

Jenna raised her eyebrow at the two of them.

"You guys okay?"

Tay laughed before pulling Jenna up into a hug.

"Jenna. We have to break up."

She smiled and nodded. "And whys that?"

Tay pulled away and wrapped her arm around Hayley instead.

"I've found someone else. And she loves me."

A/N: well I hope you liked it. The next chapter was fun to write and I'm excited to get it up. Are the Tayley fans satisfied?

Love always,

-Alison
