"Wait so, you don't hate each other?" Matt asked. They were all a little confused as to how they could make up so fast after a fight like that.

Tay and Jenna turned to each other and smiled. "No. We're fine guys. Really. We talked and decided we were just better off forgetting the whole thing and being friends." Tay informed them, but they still all looked confused.

"But you slapped her dude." Jordan said. Jenna spoke up this time.

"Yeah, and I kinda deserved it. I was being an ass. I was just pissed she didn't feel the same but I'm cool now."

The boys still didn't get it. "Wait, wait, wait. So you still like her and you're just going to go on being best friends?"

They both nodded. "Yeah. What's the problem with that?"

Whak threw his hands in the air in defeat. "Girls don't make any sense!"

That caused everyone to laugh. "It's okay. You don't have to understand just accept it."

They all agreed. They were glad they were still friends. They weren't really up for picking sides.

"So there's a Halloween party at Cameron's and you all have to come." Mike said once they eased into a normal conversation. "And you better dress up."

Tay thought for a moment and then smiled. "Can we bring a plus one?"

Everyone looked at her shocked. "Damn girl. You rebound fast. You're going to hurt Jenna's feelings talking like that."

Jenna scoffed. "Yeah right. I know exactly who she's talking about, but...I don't know. Seems kind of risky, don't you think?"

Tay shrugged. "Maybe, but I think it'll be okay. Everyone will be dressed up and drunk anyways."

Jenna nodded and once again the boys looked at them confused.

"Who are you wanting to bring?"

Jenna answered. "It's a secret guys. She's still in the closet. I'm sure you'll find out eventually though."

Tay laughed. "Like, next year eventually. I'm gonna text her and she if she wants to."

With that she pulled out her phone and clicked on Hayley's name.

To Hayley: Hey, wanna go to a high school costume party with me? It'll be fuuuun.

She got a reply a few seconds later.

From Hayley: Hmm. I don't know. That's kind of risky, isn't it?

To Hayley: Geez you sound like Jenna. Come on. We'll make sure no one can tell who you are. Pleeeaaassse?

Hayley looked at the text and chucked. It had been a long time since she's been to a house party. It would be fun. A little beer, a little weed. She sighed and texted back,

From Hayley: Alright.
