Opon waiting for Tom’s return, I kept myself busy fiddling around with the serpent ring laying on my finger.

I adored the way it looked on my finger, loved how the color of the gold serpent perfectly matched my dress.

As I continued to look down at the ring, admiring it’s looks, a pair of shoes walked up in front of me.

I didn’t look up right away to see the whole person instead of their shoes, I could already see it didn’t belong to Tom.

I held my breath as I slowly looked up, just for my eyes to meet Henry’s.

“Care for a dance?”

I opened my mouth to speak but nothing came out.

I don’t think it would hurt just for one dance, I’ve been meaning to apologize to him on behalf of Tom’s behavior anyways.

I quickly glanced around to see if I could spot Tom, but I didn’t seem to find him, so I agreed.

“Sure.”

-I say with a smile, my hand reaching out to his shoulder as he clinged to my waist, pulling himself much closer to me.

An embarrassed laugh escapes my lips as he pulls me in closer, quickly beginning to dance as the song starts up again.

He moves much faster than Tom does when dancing.

“I’ve been meaning to talk to you.”

-I say to him as we dance in a circle.

“I have as well.”

-He says with a grin.

“Yeah.....It’s just Tom doesn’t like you very much. I wish I could change that and let him know you the way I do.”

Henry rolled his eyes right as I mentioned Tom’s name.

“He's Just ignorant, airheaded, and refuses to listen to anything I have to say.”

-Henry argued.

“well….I just wanted to apologize for that, for everything he's done to you. I don’t think you deserved it at all.”

“Well, I’m glad you’re not as dense as he is. It’s nice to have someone with me instead of against me.”

I smiled at him in response.

As a few minutes pass, I begin to direct my attention around the room instead of on Henry. It was odd how Tom was still gone for this long.

As I continued to look around the room, Henry spoke again, causing my attention to fall back on him.

“Do you ever think...if it weren’t for Tom being here….it would be me and you together?”

I was speechless from his question, unsure of an answer right away.

I looked up at him, though now his attention wasn’t on me, he was staring at something behind me.

“Henry…?”

-I managed to say, slowly letting go of his shoulder as I looked behind myself.

Standing not far behind me was Tom.

“Tom-”

“Well speak of the devil.”

-Henry says, smirking, as Tom begins to walk towards him.

Tom doesn’t say anything to me, he doesn’t even look at me.

He grabs my arm tightly, pulling me away from Henry’s grasp before slamming him against the wall in front of me.

“Tom!”

-I somewhat shout, not wanting to catch the attention of nearby students.

Henry still had his sort of smirk pasted on his face until Tom held his wand closer to Him, whispering something in his ear as I watched Henry’s emotions change from sly and cool, to wide eyed and full of pain.

I almost instantly knew what Tom had just done to Henry.

Though Henry didn’t seem to make a single noise throughout this whole thing.

Tom looked back at me for a second before taking a few short steps back, letting Henry fall to his knees, his eyes now tightly shut closed as his mouth was open in a sort of screaming way, yet nothing came out.

“What did you do to him?”

-I asked, my voice breathy and shocked.

“What I had to do.”

-He answered back, still staring at him down on the ground.

I slightly gasped, my hand falling to cover my mouth.

“He’s not dead. Just in pain.”

-Tom answered quietly, making it nearly impossible to hear his responce from the loud music.

Without saying anything, I rushed over to Henry, falling to my knees to check him.

“Get up.”

I hear Tom say from behind me but I refuse to listen to him, instead I hold Henry’s head in my two shaken hands, trying to think of something to make the pain stop.

He seems weak, too weak to get up himself.

Trying my best, I pull him up, draping one of his arms over my shoulder to help balance his weight on me.

Helping him stand as I slowly help him walk, I move past Tom, giving him an annoyed glare as I do so.

“Where are you going?”

-He scoffs at me, sounding more annoyed.

“Madame Pomfrey.”

I keep my response short as we stumble away.

I can just feel the eye roll as I walk out of The Great Hall.
