Inojin can't help the proud smile forming on his face when Sarada didn't back down and correctly answered Shino's question.
Boruto was sitting two seats apart from him and he can see a shadow looming over his face.
A frown graced the corner of Inojin's lips, thinking why Boruto told such a lie. Fortunately, Sarada was a bright girl much like Boruto was.
Sarada was clearly minding her own business. The only reason he could think of as to why Boruto acted like that towards the girl was because of what happened yesterday. Perhaps he's still not letting it slide. And here they were, thinking how Boruto miraculously did not explode in rage for once but turns out it was just the calm before the storm.
He stole a glance at his back where the black haired girl was seated. Her brows were furrowed deeply and she seemed ready to strangle someone.
Devil Sarada... she really looks scary sometimes.
Inojin thought as he sweat dropped.
"Psst!" Inojin quietly called in an attempt to catch Sarada's attention and he did.
The girl looked at her questioningly, her deadly glare slowly vanishing when their eyes met.
'What?' she mouthed to his childhood friend.
The latter only shook his head still smiling before showing her a thumbs up.
'Nice one,' he mouthed back which earned him a smug smile from her.
Sarada motioned her head as if telling him to pay attention in class but her smirk was still there.
Inojin returned his attention infront afterwards. He was trying his best to listen but his mind kept wandering.
He still can't quite process everything that happened yesterday. Sarada told him the reason why she's using her Mom's last name instead of her Dad's.
It kept his mind occupied for the whole night and he can't shake off the uneasiness he felt, having learned about how the car Sarada was in got ambushed.
After hearing Sarada's side, Inojin understood why this is something he should keep as a secret. Because if he was in the same situation as Sarada's Dad, he would've done the same. He'll do anything... just to keep her daughter safe.
Just who is the person behind it? Well... whoever it is, they probably have a death wish.
Nobody in their right state of mind would want to mess with an Uchiha. Especially if it's Sarada.
Because if they did, they would have to face Sasuke Uchiha's wrath. And he sure as hell won't show them any mercy.
I'm pretty sure Mister Sasuke's already hunting down the culprit while we're in the middle of this boring class.
He shivered in horror at the thought of being the receiving end of Sasuke's wrath. Even the Uchiha head's death glare was enough to make him shit his pants.
Literally... he almost shitted in his pants.
He suddenly remembered the first time he set foot at their mansion.
He's friends with Boruto, yes, but Sarada was actually his very first friend... if his memory serves him right.
His Mother, Yamanaka Ino, and Sarada's Mom are best friends. Whenever his Mom would visit the Uchiha Mansion to hang out with Sakura, she always brought his only son, Inojin, with her. Urging him to play with the lone Uchiha heiress.
However, he was too afraid to talk to the girl whenever Ino and Sakura would leave the both of them. Because even though he can't see Sasuke, he can feel him intensely glaring at him from somewhere.
