"Uhm, senpai! Uhh, p-please accept this chocolate! I'm not asking you for anything in return! I just want you to accept them," a timid looking girl said, bowing her head low with her cheeks dusted in pink as she outstretched her hand holding a heart shaped red box decorated with a frilly looking ribbon at the top.

Boruto awkwardly scratch his whiskered cheek while the rest of the guys chuckled at his obvious discomfort. Why wouldn't he be? When the girl was bold enough to knock in their classroom just to hand him a box of chocolate. An expensive looking one too!

"Ahh, thanks...," he replied almost unsure.

The younger girl lifted her head when she heard his voice. A bright sunny smile now plastered on her face with her eyes twinkling in delight. Boruto swore he saw stars in them for a moment.

After that totally awkward display, Boruto begrudgingly walked towards his table which was now nearly full of boxes and paper bags of different sizes and colors.

Kawaki was munching on a newly opened choco bar that he snatched from the pile of gifts his brother got. Of course he asked for his permission which Boruto gave without very much a second thought.

He's got plenty of chocolates after all and it's impossible to eat all of it. Unless he wants to end up having diabetes.

"Man, how many gifts have you already received?" Iwabe asked in amazement. His mouth slightly gaping at the mountain of sweets and other cheesy gifts. Boruto even got a stuffed toy for heaven's sake!

Iwabe crossed his arms before muttering something along the lines of 'why am I not popular enough?' and 'what is it that the girls see in Boruto that I don't have?'

Iwabe was a bit jealous, although seeing the clear displeasure in his friend's face made him slightly thankful that he's not the one standing on his shoes.

The tall brown-skinned boy wants chocolates alright, but he only wants chocolates from one girl.

Crossing his arms, his eyes traveled to the group of girls who were huddled at the far left corner of the end of the room.

Wasabi snorted, almost unladylike, seeing a blushing and flustered looking Sumire who was having a hard time even holding her gift to Boruto in place. Weirdly enough, she felt as if someone was staring at her and one glance at her right did she met Iwabe's gaze, the latter's mouth slacked in shock before averting his eyes almost abashedly.

"What's the matter, Iwabe? Are you sick? Your face is a bit flushed," Denki pointed out innocently causing Iwabe to glower at him.

"Eek!" Denki slightly cowered at this.

"Tsk, I don't blush!"

"Ehh? I think you are tho!" Inojin teased which earned him a glare from Iwabe. Having been used to his dagger like glares, Inojin only laughed instead of feeling any sense of fear.

Mitsuki hid his calm smile behind his hand, "He was staring at Wasabi for quite a while before he started blushing."

"Mitsuki!"

Boruto sighed deeply. He was silently praying for him to not receive any more gifts since he already had enough on his desk and his locker. He looked at his table once again, even catching Inojin who secretly grabbed a small box of chocolate before smiling at him sheepishly.

"I hope you don't mind. I'm helping you finish them all," Inojin said in between chews.

"Sure, help yourself," Boruto said with a dismissive wave.

It wasn't surprising anymore how Boruto would always get a ton of gifts and chocolates from the girls of the academy. He was no doubt popular among and beyond his peers. He noticed that he received more this year compared to last year, although last year's was still more than what he could bring back to his room. Seems like being student council president boosted his popularity.
