"Boruto, did something great happen?" Mitsuki asked all of a sudden making the boys at the table grow silent.

It was already dinner and majority of the group decided to eat at Thunder burger, saying how they're getting tired of eating the meals offered at the academy's dining hall.

Even though there's always a new and different dish served everyday so as to avoid the students getting tired of eating the same food over and over again.

Boruto gazed at the pale boy with furrowed brows. A carefree smile was plastered on Mitsuki's face, his golden eyes seemed to shine knowingly as their eyes met.

"Hmm, what do you mean?" Boruto replied, his stoic features never giving away even a miniscule hint of his true feelings.

"You look happy," was Mitsuki's comment before taking a sip of his cold drink. "I'm glad."

I really am happy today but is it really showing in my face?

Boruto wondered before taking a bite of his burger.

"Wait- what?! He does?!" Iwabe asked in disbelief, wide eyes already shooting questioning looks at the Uzumaki heir's face. "How can you even tell, Mitsuki? He's not even smiling."

A frown took over Boruto's lips as his friends began staring at him, questioning what part of his face gave away a joyous feeling like what Mitsuki just observed.

"Quit staring you guys! It's weird," the blond hissed in annoyance.

"Ehh, but really Mitsuki-kun... that's kinda awesome how easily you can tell Boruto-kun's emotions." Denki praised in awe. "You really are the most observant."

"Why are you in a good mood, Boruto? You got another perfect score for one of our papers, perhaps?" Shikadai queried with a smirk, a single brow rose up in curiosity.

His best friend was always like that, one time he was actually a little worried about Boruto only finding joy whenever he got good grades and perfect scores. But then again, Shikadai can understand why since his blond friend only wanted nothing other than to appease his parents. Especially his strict grandfather, Hyuuga Hiashi.

"Or is it a girl?" Metal chimed all of a sudden causing Boruto to almost choke on his food.

At these, the others seem to perk up as they stopped whatever they're doing before glancing at the blond boy in question.

"W-what are you saying?" Boruto replied, carefully sipping on his cup and not letting anyone notice how Metal's words made him a little flustered.

"U-uhh! I, I m-mean! W-well, whenever I t-think of my crush, I always end up feeling giddy or happy! Don't you, Boruto-kun?" The poor stuttering boy replied in a defensive tone, his hands waving animatedly in panic after having his friends' attention transferred to him.

"Ooh, juicy," Inojin grinned evilly, "so whenever you think of Sarada you end up feeling happy?"

"No way!"

"O-of course not!"

Boruto cursed inwardly after realizing that he just said that out loud, the same time Metal exclaimed his own denial with a red face.

Was Inojin's teasing actually directed at Metal and not me? Shoot! Sarada's gonna kill me if they found out we actually are dating now!

Silence. Everyone paused after what just happened and Boruto almost swore the world stopped moving for almost five seconds.

The look of shock and confusion was etched in each of their faces. Aside from Mitsuki who has a close-eyed smile and Kawaki who seem to have a world of his own as he kept his eyes glued on his phone.
