Chapter 22
The New York Times... Now that's a dream come true. Anyone who's a journalist knows that working for the New York Times means you're a BIG deal.
I'm currently daydreaming in another lecture hall. The only person on my mind is Geoffrey and working for the New York Times. Why so suddenly am I thinking of this, I don't know, but I'll do anything just to bypass this boring lecture.
I don't know how many hours have passed by, but being stuck in this burning hell should be over any minute now. I tap my pen uncontrollably on my clear notebook page. I didn't bother in taking notes and I knew I would regret that later. I just wanted to go home, shower, and sleep. First day back and I only had 3 classes, yet it feels as if I've been here forever.
Do you ever get the feeling that someone has been starring at you for the longest of times? Well I do, not only do I feel it, but I can see it. From the very corner of my eye, a blondie hasn't been able to stop looking at me, and from what I can notice it's a dirty look.
I casually glance over to her and she puts her head down. I mentally roll my eyes. I look back up to the clock three more minutes. There she goes again, she's starring at me. Two more minutes. I glance at her again and she hesitates, but finally puts her head down. I had narrowed my eyes at her. I stare at my empty notebook counting the seconds left iny head.
"See you all tomorrow." I heard the professor say making me snap out of my daydream. I gathered my notebook and stood from my seat. I noticed the blonde still eyeing me down. I scoffed and finally faced her, "Do you have a problem with me!" I gave her an attitude.
"No!" She snapped.
I leaned back surprised, "Good then, stop starring, I know good looking already!" And with that I walked past, flipped my hair a little in her face and pranced out of the lecture hall.
I could've sworn that someone said, "Damn!" Which put a smirk on face.
The smirk disappeared from my face
once I walk the halls to get to Angel's and Luis's dorm. Everyone keeps starring at me, I bet anything that the video of me punching the guy in the face is up on YouTube. I struggle opening the door to the boy's dorm room, I can never remember the right key.To my surprise, the blonde from before is dorm neighbors with the guys. She sees me struggle with the keys and laughs. I decide to ignore it and put it behind me. I heard her whisper to her friend next to her and they both laughed. I wasn't born yesterday, they were talking shit. I stop for a second and look at them, they stop laughing and give me a snotty look.
"I swear, you keep looking at me the wrong damn way," I started, my voice becoming gradually louder each time, "I will confiscate your damn eyeballs."
Her eyes widen and so did her friends, she quickly entered her dorm and shut the door behind her. I shook my head and exhaled finally opening the door. I grabbed my coat, hat, and gloves. It has been a very long day that I needed my bed and a steamy hot shower.
The only person who highlighted my day was Geoffrey.
