Lilly's POV

{Morning}

It's 9 am.

I woke up because my phone kept vibrating from underneath my pillow. I groan as I reach for it, and flutter my eyes open to adjust to the sunlight.

Text messages from...

'Royce❤️'

'Good morning sunshine! ❤️😎'

'Do you have any plans for today 😊😶'

I smiled and started texting back.

'Morning! 😊And no nothing, just stay at home' I texted and went to shower quick and brush my teeth.

When I came back in my room, I picked up my phone again and saw another text from Royce.

'Okay 😏 we can fix that!'

Fix? Fix what?

'What are you talking about?' I texted

I went to check the weather while I waited for his reply.

10 degrees; wind chill 2 degrees. Perfect day to just stay at home, it's way too cold outside, and Royce hasn't replied, oh well.

I changed into my comfy sweatpants, put on some socks, a black tank, and turned on the heater.

I went to my kitchen and looked in my refrigerator to see what I can make myself breakfast with. I took out some eggs, tomatoes, onions, Serrano chiles, and a can of frijoles.

Huevos a la mexicana it is!

I set my phone to play some music. I was in the middle of chopping the tomatoes, when my phone started ringing and there was a knock at my door.

'Royce ❤️'

"Hello?" I answered.

"Hey Lilly!" He was shivering, "Can you open your door please! It's freezing!"

So that's what he meant!

I opened my door and welcomed the howling wind and Royce who was shivering.

"Hey!" He said finally smiling showing his cute dimples.

"Hey!" I said helping him get out of his thick coat, "what brings you in today?"

"I wanted to hang out with you! I only have so many days till I go back to Miami and you to school" he said with a sincere smile.

It's great to have some company, but what would we do? It's too cold to go outside? If it were me, I would just stay in and watch movies all day long, but I don't want to bore him.

"That's--that's great!" I said, knowing I let it out awkwardly and he looked at me skeptically.

He let out a breath, "Sorry Lilly, I didn't mean to come and disrupt you especially without even saying so--"

Dammit, he took it the wrong way.

"No Royce it's just that... That..."

One of my biggest problems is putting others before myself. For example, this situation. I rather not bore him with my style of living in general when he's a fun and adventurous guy that probably wants to do something fun. I'm not exactly 'fun' that's my problem.

"I don't want to bore you or let alone this be an awkward situation..." I said looking at floor.

"Lilly... You're not a boring person to me" he said softly and he lifted my chin slowly to look at him.
