Chapter 13

Royce tried to control his heightening levels, while Lilly looked at him still confused with the same stance she had going on.

Lilly feared he did read what she thought he was reading, that was too personal for anyone to find out, especially him. Lilly is not stupid, she will always be 3 steps ahead of you no matter what you do. She knew Royce had to be snooping, who wouldn't snoop? It's not like he's the first person who's told her her vibe can attract many.

Why?

Because it's always been said that the most the forbidden is what draws people in. Like a trap, in most stories, but in this case was Lilly forbidden? Or is she? With forbidden comes the mysterious ness of a person bringing one of the seven deadly sins, lust. Royce was starting to stare at her with lust, it was an emotion that awakened out of the sudden.

"Well!"

"Your a nice writer" he said simply forgetting all of the dirty thoughts in his mind, it was an 'Earth to Royce' moment.

"Did your mom ever teach you not to go through a strangers stuff" she added sarcastically.

"Who said you were a stranger?" He challenged the question to her. He knew exactly what she was doing, guilt tripping him. In the days they have met she was able to bring a total stranger into her home, show her good side to him, let him stay the night and for what? So he could instantly try to decipher who she is by reading her personal things, because in the last few days he still couldn't figure her out.

"Who said you can read my things!" She shot back, clearly pissed off already, it still didn't help Royce's case with his hormones.

Ever heard of the phrase that some girls always fall for the bad boys or that some boys always fall for the whores.

Not the case here.

Prince Royce (Geoffrey Royce Rojas) known to be one of the most down to earth and humblest Latin star with a flirty side he couldn't hide, was falling for someone completely different from the the usual beautiful ladies he used to date in the past to now have raging hormones for a tough girl.

"Relax" he said casually, making her more pissed off, "Your articles are so detailed!"

Articles?

"What!" Lilly said letting out the breath she's been holding in this entire time, so it wasn't what she thought it was.

"Yeah!" He showed them to her, they were all of her journalism work. The ads and news articles she did for class. With journalism comes notes and recordings when trying to write and report actual facts, that Royce was also holding in his hands.

"Close" she said under her breath, she figured Royce didn't hear, but she was mistaken, he heard her clearly, but he didn't act on it, he just smirked. That proved she was hiding something, and he knew it was wrong to search, but he didn't care. He had a sense of 'adventure' about figuring out the mystery that is Amaryllis Rodriguez.

"Why did you freak out!" He said, another challenging question. If Lilly is known to be three steps ahead, then Royce is winning this game, for now.

"Because!" She said with a slight attitude, "You shouldn't touch my things!"

"Ooh! Cool down will ya" he winked reading more of her articles and made her roll her eyes with his sassy attitude.

"Give me that!" She snatched the articles out of his hands. Lilly thought that this would actually make him react into saying he was sorry, but if only she knew that her attitude made him have that smirk. A smirk showing that 'Ooh baby, you shouldn't have done that.' She still wasn't helping his case and this was the perfect time to test her.

It's been days, almost a week since New Years, but a week of spending it with a girl you are developing feelings that you can't control can make things go out of hand.

Can a tough girl be fancied by Royce's charm and good looks like he spells every girl or no?

"Whoa there! Relax" Royce said casually approaching and taking the articles out off Lilly's firm grip on them. Once in his hands she raised an eyebrow at him.

"Ok what the hell do you want from me!"

"I don't know what you're talking about, I guess writers can't take good critezism when it comes to good work too" he analyzed her articles again, well at least pretending to so he could get his point across and try to show Lilly she's overreacting for nothing while at the same time he sets the trap. Yes, Royce is that talented.

She took a warning step closer to him, and from the corner of his eye Royce saw and mentally smirked again, it was working.

"You don't get it do you!" She said still upset about the situation, "Give me that!" She gripped her work.

If you're asking yourself, why Lilly? Let it go it's just your school stuff! ERRR! Wrong! As Royce kept going through every article, underneath the pile was something that he could not see, and he was getting closer and closer with every turning page. Lilly didn't notice before, but the un readable was there.

"Why!" He said and he came out serious, it made Lilly let her guard down, slightly, just slightly, "Something here you don't want me to see"

Usually by now she would've cursed his ass out already and probably kicked him out of her house with out a care in the world if there was blizzard outside, or taken him on by her self, she's done that before.

If there's anything you should know about Lilly, you should know that even though most girls pretend to be tough with a bad ass attitude to intimidate people, Lilly isn't one of those. She became that thanks to life's curve balls, she doesn't pretend to be tough and take guys on, she does take them on.

'I'm nobodies bitch, I know myself worth, and it's not going to be wasted on you'

She didn't know why that memory quote she once said came to her, maybe because what's happening right now with Royce, she's already gone through it with someone similar in almost the same situation, why? Because she knows right now she has to stand her ground and not let the pretty boy face she had in front of her and those pink soft lips get to her.

He was too close to her face, too close. Never did either of them imagined being in the position that they were in right now at the moment.

Royce knew what he wanted, he knows he's acting crazy, maybe, but he had to get a reaction from her. He needed to prove his theory right. He already imagined a slap coming, and he waited for that sting to hit his face, because knowing Lilly, she would do that, but her reaction was different then what he had imagined.

Her breath accelerated, her eyes were locked to his, and because of the quietness in the room, her thudding heartbeat was heard. His charm or he's feelings were taking a life of their own by pulling her closer.

This was unknown. An unknown feeling to Lilly. She pursed her lips and bit them, chills were going down her spine every second that passed.

She's never been this vulnerable.
