By Your Side, Always! (RDJ x Reader)

~2007~

     I have an amazing 9 years with Robert and Eli. When Eli turned five, me and Robert decided that it was time to give Eli a brother or a sister. In that case, it was Eli's joy to have a baby brother. We named our second son, Ashton John Downey. Of course, Robert was happy about having another baby boy. But to be honest, I wanted a baby girl.. 

     Currently, AJ is already three-years old, while Eli is a big nine-year old boy. And to be honest, I'm quite scared for my babies, since they're growing up so fast now. 

     Robert is currently filming his Marvel Film, Iron Man. Since I have no project yet, I stayed at home with the kids.

     "Hey kids!" I greeted as they went inside the house from their school. I saw dad behind them and the kids went near me, so I can kiss their heads.

     "Hi mommy!" They said. 

     "How was school?" I asked them as they sat on the kitchen stool and I began giving them some snacks.

     "It was fun and exciting." Eli said.

     "Mommy, Eli saved me." AJ said.

     "Saved you? From who?" I asked as I confusingly looked at dad and he just sighed as he shrugged his shoulders at me. I faced my kids and looked at them confusingly.

     "AJ was getting bullied by his classmate and I told him to back off from him, and he did mommy." Eli said.

     "That was a very brave act of you." I said as I gave them snacks. I smiled at my kids as they began chewing their food. Dad got some drink from the fridge and he decided to get back home. It was just us three left on the house. I continued making some supper for later. 

     "Mommy, what time is daddy going home?" AJ asked.

     "He'll be here in a little bit." I said. 

     "Mommy, can we tell daddy the surprise later?" Eli asked excitedly. I chuckled and I looked at them while smiling big. I also saw their cheeky smile that they get from Robert.

     "We can tell daddy, before dinner." I said and they cheered. 

     "Come on, Eli! Let's changed!" AJ said.

     "Take a shower and you can play." I said as they began running to their rooms, upstairs. "No running!!" I shouted.

     "We're sorry!" They shouted back and I chuckled. 

     "Kids..." As I was finishing the chopping of vegetables, I heard my phone rang. I washed my hands, wiped it dry and answered my phone as I saw Robert calling.

     "Hey love." I said.

     "I'm 5 minutes away from home."

     "Okay. Just in time to help me cook." I teased and I heard him groaned.

     "Oh, come on! I have other ways to help you." He teased back and I rolled my eyes.

     "Just come home safely, your kids and I have a surprise for you." I said.

     "I can't wait. I'm almost home. The kids just arrived?" 

     "Yup and they can't wait for you." 

     "Yeah, me too. I'll see you later, okay? Love you." 

     "Love you too." I said and ended the call. I began cooking the vegetables and start to cook the needed meals. After a couple of minutes, I heard the front door. I looked at it and saw my husband. I stopped cooking and I went to greet him. 

     "Hey, love." I said and I wrapped my arms around his neck to give him a passionate kiss. He wrapped his arms around my waist and smiled as he kissed me back. 

     "Always a beautiful way to come home." He said as he broke the kiss. I just hummed in response as I smiled at him. 

     "Thank you very much." I told him and peck his lips one more time before I untangled myself from him. 

     "Kids, daddy's here." I shouted and we immediately heard some giggling and fast footsteps incoming while me and Robert went to the living room.

     "Daddy!!!" The boys greeted as they jumped in their father and Robert gladly caught them, while he fell on the couch. I laughed at them and they were laughing, too. 

     "Now, now, kids. Mommy told me you have a surprise for me. What is it?" Robert asked the kids. I settled on the back of the couch and the kids looked up at me. I nodded my head at them and they looked at their father with wide smiles. I grabbed the envelope on the kitchen counter and immediately put the paper out and the kids smiled.

     "Mommy's pregnant!!" The boys said and I smiled at them. 

     "Wait--what?!" I heard Robert got shocked. He looked behind me and showed him the sonogram with a wide smile. 

     "We're having twins!" I shrieked and he puts his hands on his mouth and ran up to me. I chuckled as he carried me and twirled me around. 

     "Oh my God! We're gonna have another baby!! Not just a baby, but two babies!" He said and I giggled at him. 

     "One last time." I said as he brought me down. He smiled big at me and he nodded his head. 

     "I'm going to be a father again. I love you so much Y/N!" He said and he hugged me tightly.

     "I love you too, love." I said as I rubbed his back. 

     "Hug time!" Eli said and the two of them ran to us. They hugged our legs. I put my hand on them, and so Robert did as well. 

~AFTER DINNER~

     The four of us are laughing at Robert as he tried to crack a joke to the kids. Suddenly, I felt like I'm about to throw up. I immediately held my mouth and ran to the nearest bathroom to throw up at the toilet. 

     "It's okay.." I heard Robert went near me. He held my hair up and rubbed my back. I threw everything up and I flushed the toilet after. Robert helped me up and I held my head as dizziness is now coming. 

     "Where are the kids?" I asked softly while Robert pulled me to him and he began rubbing my back.

     "I let them stay on the dining table. Why don't I bring you up to the room to rest? I don't have work anymore since we finished the taping and I'll be here to take care of you and the kids." Robert said. 

     "I can make my way to the room. Just take care of the kids for me, will you?" I asked him. 

     "I will. I'll be with you after I put the kids to bed." He kissed my forehead and began to head back to the kids. I went to me and Robert's shared room and began to freshen myself. After that, I lay on the bed and I took a deep sigh. Then, I slowly fell asleep. After a couple of hours, I felt Robert kissed my neck and my shoulder. I felt him hugged me and I held his arms that is around me. 

     "Are you feeling a little better?" He asked softly. 

     "Still with the dizziness, but I feel a little better." I answered as I turned to him for a cuddle. "Are the kids asleep?" I asked him.

     "Like a champ." He joked and we giggled softly. 

     "Let's go to sleep, love." I said and he kissed my head as I relaxed when he caressed my arms.

     "Good night, love." He said.

     "Good night, Rob." I said back.
