~GRADUATION DAY~
Finally! All those sleepless and crying nights of hard work, it's finally paying off. I am waiting at the side of the stage for my name to be called in receiving my diploma, medals and certification.
"Willis, Y/First/N. Graduate with the Masters Degree in Cinema-Television, Excellency of Film Production as Director of Johnny Be Good, and Special Awardee as the President of the Film Department." The dean said as I walked to the stage. I removed my graduation cap and my professor puts on the medal on my neck. I smiled and I put back my cap. I moved my tassel and grabbed my certificate and my diploma. I looked at the crowd and there I saw my whole family.
Mom, dad, my three sisters, Robert, Elsie and Bob were clapping and cheering for me. I waved at them and I walked near my other professors, who are sitting on the stage. They're wishing me congratulations and I said my regards back.
"Before we end this commencement, I shall call again the President of the Student Body, Ms. Willis." The dean called me. I walked near him and we shake our hands. I placed my diploma and my certificate on the podium as the dean began to walked back to his chair and everybody sat. I look at my family and to Robert. He winked at me and mouth the words, 'You got this'. I nodded my head and took a deep sigh.
"Crucial. Restless. Caffeine. Those are the three words we usually described the rest of our time here." I began and the crowd laughed. "That's what I'm talking about..." I said and they laughed again.
"Today seems a heavy day for us, graduates. It really was a one hell of a ride, but we made it out alive. Truly an emotional day, I can see someone crying..." I said as I pointed at my best friend. Jeffrey, our class clown, teased Jessie for crying. The whole class erupted in joy and I smiled at them. "This could be the start of the real job outside this building. This is the start of our success, this is the start of a long, challenging ride in order for us to achieve the impossible. Those three words that I've said at the beginning of my speech may accompany us throughout the whole challenging journey. But at the end of the day, there will always be contentment, happiness and faith in every success." I said and I smiled lovingly at the crowd.
"To our mind shifters, to our lovely dean, to our professors, to our friends, family and loved ones, this day is for all of you. The day that we've all been waiting for, the day we get to say of how awesome we all are. I know some of the Student's Body are here right now.." I said as I looked at them. They began cheering and waving their hands at me. I wave back and smiled big at them.
"I have never fully ended my term for you. Continue to help, inspire and be the role model that every film dramatic arts kids would want. As I end my speech, I, Y/N Willis, graduate of Batch '88, President of Film Department, now signing off. Thank you everyone and have a wonderful year ahead of us." I ended my speech and grabbed my things from the podium stand. I walked down the stage and back to my seat.
"Everyone! Let's welcome our graduates of Batch 1988!" The dean said and that signals us to threw our cap in the air. All of my friends and classmates hugged and greeted each other. I tightly hugged Jessie and we both shed tears.
"Oh my God!! We're finally done!!" Jessie said.
"I know right!!" I said and I broke our hug. "I'll go to my family first." I said as I grabbed my diploma and my certificate.
