45~DINNER REHEARSAL

~AFTER A WEEK~

~NIGHT TIME~

     Everyone gathered at the dinner reception for tomorrow's wedding. It really is gonna happen. My wedding. At last.

     I am cradling Eli in my arms while me and Robert are near the door, greeting our guests that came. Robert held my waist all along as we stand to greet the guests. All smiles and warm welcomes coming from me, Robert and our little guy, Elijah.

     "Want me to carry our little man?" Robert asked as he faced me. I just smiled and shake my head.

     "It's okay. I can manage, love." I said and he kissed my forehead. 

     "Excited for tomorrow?" He asked as we both smirked.

     "More than! I just can't wait for tomorrow! I'm gonna be Mrs. Robert Downey Jr." I said and we chuckled.

     "It fits you, love." He peck my lips and I giggled. 

     "Y/N, dear.." I heard Elsie called. Me and Robert looked behind and saw Elsie.

     "Hi Elsie. What is it?" I asked nicely.

     "Can I borrow my grandson? Robert's grandparents wants to see this little guy." Elsie said while she tickled Elijah's side and Eli responded by giggling. We smiled at Eli and I passed him to Elsie.

     "You can have him for now." I said and the three of us laughed.

     "Still on the not letting go part?" Elsie asked while raising her eyebrow at me. I just chuckled.

     "Sort of." I said. "But, we both do." I said, referring to me and Robert. Robert just put his arm around me and pulled me softly to him. Robert chuckled at what I've said and felt him kissed my head.

     "We sure do." Robert agreed and the three of us laughed.

     "All right, I'll give him back, soon." Elsie said and she began to walk back to the direction of Robert's grandparents. As soon as Elsie and Elijah were far, I wrapped my arms around Robert and looked at the surroundings through his shoulder.

     "After this party, Scout wanted me and Eli to stay at mom and dad's house, you know the tradition." I said as I softly broke the hug. I held his hands in mine and faced my handsome fiancé.

     "I know. But, we'll see each other at the altar. That I promise." He peck my lips and I giggled. 

     "I know and I can't wait to say I do." I said while smiling big.

     "Me too." He said.

~DINNER~

     We are all eating our dinner. Elijah is in his father's lap. Robert tried to give a little solid food to Elijah and surprisingly, he likes it. I just smiled at my two boys when we heard a glass clanking beside Robert. I looked at the source and saw Bob clanked the glass. We all looked at him and Robert looked at me with slight fear in his eyes.

     "I am beside you, but I can hear the fear from Robert's eyes." His dad joked and we all laughed. "To be honest, I'm so glad these two decided to get married. They took what? 10 years before my fine son asked Y/N!" We all laughed again. Robert gave Eli back to me, since he's wanting his mommy's attention.

     "I have never seen my son this happy with Y/N and his son. And as his dad, I know that he found someone to be beside him throughout his life and I'm glad he found it on Y/N. Robert, I know that you have found the lady in your life, the most important and loving lady. All I wanted to ask you is to cherish and be contented of your relationship. She's so precious, son. You are the luckiest man to have Y/N in your life." Bob told Robert as he patted his son's shoulder and they both smiled lovingly. 

     "Y/N." Bob called me and I smiled at him. He returned back the smile and we heard him sighed happily. "Thank you for not letting go of my son. I know he's a hard headed man, but you stayed with him through ups and downs, and decided to give him your son. You are a gift to our family and we welcome you with arms wide open." Bob said and that made me tear up a little bit. I began to wipe my tears away and I felt Robert rubbed my back to calm me. 

     "In behalf of me and Elsie, we wanted to congratulate you on your new journey and we wished you to have a merry and fantastic life as a married couple." Bob ended his speech and he sat back at his chair. 

     "Thank you both so much!" I said as I faced Bob and Elsie.

     "You're most certainly welcome, dear." Elsie said. 

     "Now." I heard my dad's voice through the microphone and I faced him, beside me. "Now that my co-parent-in-law have spoken, I guess it's my turn." Dad joked and everybody laughed. 

     "Y/N is the youngest of my kids. But she and her sisters are childlike at hearts. I still can't believe that one day, I have a baby Y/N in my arms and now, I have a grandson in my arms. I can't believe how my girls are growing up and finally having the life that they wanted. I thought me and Demi would just sit on the couch and watch our daughters grow up to be a successful people. And I can't believe that I'm giving Y/N away tomorrow to Robert." Dad cracked a little laughed as we wiped our tears.

     "Robert." Dad faced Robert. "This past decade that I saw her how happy she was with you, please continue to do that. Continue to make her smile, support her, love her, protect her and care for her. Even though the both of you are at the downside of your life, no matter what words that goes, always remember what brought you together. Think of your marriage, your love, your commitment and your kid. Your happiness is your family and the family's happiness is with you." Dad said and I looked at Robert. We both looked at each other with big smiles on our faces.

     "Y/N." I faced dad. "Time is the essence. I know you know what I meant. Both of you are in the industry where it's so demanding. Make sure that you both have time for each other and for your family. Trust on each other and love one another. Y/N, you make me and your mom happy of what you've become and achieved in your life. I know you have a lot of dreams and I'm sure, you're there to achieving it. Thank you for being the strongest one in the family. We love you so much, honey. And as what Bob said to my daughter, Robert, I welcome you to be a part of my family. From me and Demi, we love you both so much, especially our little Eli. Congratulations on your new life together." Dad ended his speech and I hugged him.

     "Thank you mom and dad. I love you guys so much." I said as I broke the hug.

     "We love you too, sweetie." Mom said. 

     "Thank you both so much." Robert told my parents.

     "You're welcome." Mom said and I lay my head on Robert's shoulder as I felt him kissed Eli, and my head. I sighed contentedly of how my life turned out to be. Happy in the arms of my Robert and Eli beside us.
