34~THE DOWNFALL

~1996~

     Me and Robert are together for 9 years. I thought me and Robert would end up marrying when I reached 30, but ehhh---Everything's fucked up! I am currently filming my first acting movie. I am filming Jerry Maguire, with Tom Cruise as my leading man! Damn!

     "And Cut!! It's a wrap, people!" The director said. Me and Tom broke the kiss and we suddenly laughed at each other. 

     "Robert's gonna kill me.." Tom said as we walked to the tent.

     "He won't." I told him. Just then, I heard my phone ring. I looked at my bag and saw dad calling. "Could you excuse me for one minute." I told Tom.

     "Yeah, sure.." He said. I answered the call.

     "Dad, hey! What's up?" I said.

     "Bob called me and told me that Robert was arrested today."

     "WHAT?! How?? With what?" I asked.

     "He was caught taking drugs while speeding fast at Sunset Boulevard."

     "Send me his location right now, dad. I'll come right now." Then, dad gave me the location to where they are right now. I ended the call and immediately packed my bags.

     "Hey, what's wrong?" Tom asked.

     "Robert was arrested because he took drugs and he was speeding all the way to Sunset Boulevard. And I gotta go to the police station and--"

     "Let me drive you, I don't trust you driving while you're not thinking straight." Tom said as he asked for my keys. I gave it to him and I led him to my car. He was a gentleman. He opened a door for me and I told him the destination and he started driving us.

~AFTER 2 HOURS~

     Me and Tom arrived at the station. I saw a lot of Press. Tom held my shoulders and he brought us easily inside. When I saw Bob, Elsie, Ally, mom and dad, I hugged mom and I looked at them. 

     "Where is he?" I asked them.

     "They're still questioning him." Bob said. "But, he's looking for you, all the time.." He added.

     "Tom? What are you doing here, buddy?" Dad asked Tom. 

     "I drove Y/N here from the set. She is looking distraught so, I decided to drive her here, or she might not be able to focus on the road." Tom said.

     "Thank you for looking after my daughter." Mom said.

     "It's nothing.." Tom said and he smiled at me.

     "Ms. Willis.." A police approach us and he looked at me. "Mr. Downey is looking for you. If you would follow me, I could lead you to his cell." The police said. I nodded my head and looked at my families. I followed the police and he led us through some guarded doors. Then, he stopped and unlocked the cell. "You only have 5 minutes to talked to him." The police said and I nodded my head at him. He opened the cell and I looked at my boyfriend and saw him looking at me with his hands on his head. He immediately stand and I went to him and hugged him tightly.

     "Oh my God Robert! Why?" I asked as I held him tightly to me. He began sobbing on my shoulder I rubbed his back to calm him down.

     "I'm so sorry... I tried pulling myself away from it, but it was so hard... I can't resist those damn drugs.." Robert said. I broke the hug and I held his cheeks in my hands.

     "I should be the one saying sorry. I was so busy preparing for the movie and I haven't focus on you.." 

     "Don't.." He said as he shook his head. He held my hands and he kissed them. "I don't deserve you..." He said. "You're too good for me.." 

     "Hey... Shut up, okay? I love you, okay? It will not change.. We've been together for 9 years and from then on, I only love you, my love..." I told him and he nodded his head. He kissed my lips and I softly broke it. I hugged him to me and he continued sobbing. 

     "I'll get you out of here, okay? We'll do everything for you to get out of this place." I said. He just nodded his head and I continued to hold him as calmed him.

     "You'll be fine, love.. Don't forget that I love you so much, okay?" I reminded him.

     "I love you too..." He said softly while hugging me. I kissed his head and hugged him tightly to me, because starting tonight, I won't have my cuddle buddy with me.

     "Ms. Willis.." I heard the police called. I looked behind me as I softly broke the hug from Robert. I felt him held my hands tightly in his. "It's time to go.." The police said.

     "Okay.." I said softly. I looked at Robert and kissed his lips for a good 5 seconds. I broke the kiss and caressed his cheeks. "I love you so much, Robert.." 

     "I love you too, love.. Please come here always.." He begged. I nodded my head as I held his hand.

     "I will." I said. I slowly went out of his cell and saw Robert held onto the bar of his door. I held his hand and saw him grabbed my hand and kissed my ring, the promise ring he gave me 8 years ago.

     "See you tomorrow." He said.

     "I'll visit you, I promise." I said. Then, I let go of his hand and the police led me back to a room where I saw my families and Tom.

     "Ms. Willis, I am Robert Shapiro, Downey's lawyer." The man in a suit said as he shake hands with me. I wiped my tears and smiled at him as dad led me to take a sit. Atty. Shapiro sat across the table from me.

     "What shall we do to my boyfriend?" I asked him. 

     "We could file a case that could help Robert to get out, but he needs to bail. Then, the judge may decide on how long he'll be on probation. Maybe at the end of the week, he could go back home." Atty. Robert said.

     "That's a good news." I said. 

     "Yes. And we'll hope that he follows the judge's decision."
