By Your Side, Always! (RDJ x Reader)

~FEBRUARY 1989~

   "Y/N!!" I heard Robert called me from the living room.

     "What?!" I shouted back as I am focused on reading the script in our bedroom.

     "Watch this announcement!" He said. I put the script down on the table and left the bedroom to join my boyfriend who is so focused on the news. When I sat on the couch beside him, I lay my head on Robert's lap as I began massaging my forehead. 

     "What happened love?" He asked.

     "I'm still trying to figure out how to shoot a scene based from the script. It's so complicated.." I said.

     "Good morning! I am Richard Kahn, the President of the Academy."

     "And I am Anne Archer. We're going to announce the nominations for the upcoming 61st Academy Award that will be hosted on the 29th of March, 1989." The announcement began. I began to take a sit properly and indulge the announcement.

     "Let's first announce the nomination for the Actor in a Leading Role." Richard Kahn began. "Gene Hackman for Mississippi Burning. Tom Hanks for the movie, Big. Edward James Olmos for the movie, Stand and Deliver. Dustin Hoffman for the movie, Rain Man." I gasped when I heard Dustin's name on the nomination. "And Max Von Sydow for the movie, Pelle the Conqueror."

     They also mentioned the nomination for the Actor in a Supporting Role, but Tom didn't land for the nomination. They also mentioned the Actress and the Actress in Supporting Role. 

     "Here are the nomination for the Art Direction." Anne said. "Dangerous Liaisons; Art Direction by Stuart Craig; Set Decoration by Gerard James." 

     "Beaches; Art Direction by Albert Brenner; Set Decoration by Garrett Lewis." Richard said.

     "Rain Man." Anne began and I gasped. "Art Direction by Ida Random; Set Decoration by Linda DeScenna." Anne said.

     "Go Rain Man!" I cheered for my movie and I held Robert's hand. "Two nomination.. Wow!" They also announced the Cinematography.

     "For Best Cinematography nominees, here are Tequila Sunrise, Mississippi Burning, The Unbearable Lightness of Being, Who Framed Roger Rabbit and Rain Man."

     "Three!" Robert proudly said and I chuckled. I nodded my head and continued to smile at the nomination. They announced the Costume Design. After they announced the nominees for the Costume Design, I began to be nervous and be scared. 

     "Here are the nomination for the Best Director." Richard said. I tightly held Robert's hand with my both hands. 

     "Alan Parker for Mississippi Burning." Anne said.

     "Mike Nichols for Working Girls." Richard continued.

     "Charles Crichton for A Fish Called Wanda." Anne said.

     "Martin Scorsese for The Last Temptation of Christ." Richard said.

     "And for our first woman to be nominated. Y/N Willis for Rain Man." Anne said. With that said, I put my hands on my face in shocked. I heard Robert starts to jump and cheered. I looked at him and laughed at him. He lets me stand and tightly hugged me. I hugged him back and shed some happy tears.
