Slowly I'm roused from a deep dreamless state. Without opening my eyes and still not quite fully conscious, I ponder.
My bed feels cold. Has it always been this cold?
I'm late! I need to get ready for school, Aizawa is gonna kill me! Quickly I sit up and jerk the blankets off.
Wait. This isn't my apartment. I don't go to UA anymore. I'm still in the mansion. This room is... My childhood bedroom.
The corner of my mouth twitches. This is the room that I've been avoiding since coming to the mansion to the hideout. How did I get here? Did I sleepwalk again? I haven't done that for years. These nightmares are following me even after I wake up.
White dust sheets have been placed over the furniture. Somehow that gives the room an entirely new level of creepy. Everything is where I remember it to be. My bookcase, the chair with dolls, the bedside table with a picture frame, all these things are covered in the white dust sheets.
The musty old smelling sheets feel chilly even with my body heat. If the bed isn't warm then I must've just gotten here. Whether I did sleepwalk or not is still in question. No one else should be in the house. I'm alone.
Scrambling out of the moth-eaten bed and almost running to the door I try to remain calm. The floor creaks under my feet. That only adds to the suspense I feel growing in my chest. The feeling that I'm being watched blossoms.
A doorbell's ring chimes throughout the large house. The signal sets my nerves on edge. Whoever is at the door is someone I need to beware of. That much I know. Cautiously I peek out the peephole. A pizza box catches my eye.
"Delivery on Kasukabe Street, for... Suzuki?" The bearer of the pizza, to me, looks like he just rolled out of bed and into a woodchuck. The lazy cowlicks stick straight up and at all odd angles. Nothing about this young adult looks at all threatening.
"If you'd just sign here for me" he holds out a pen and receipt to me. Giving the receipt a good glance over I find my name on the paper. Hesitantly I sign for it.
Nothing strange about this at all. Nothing, except for the fact that I didn't order pizza.
Returning into the house I set the pre-payed pizza on a table. My stomach growls at the prospect of eating pizza for breakfast. The steamy box beacons me.
Ignoring the fact that no one should know where I am right now I eagerly open the thin 14x14inch box. Before going any further a slip of greasy paper alarms me. Sitting on top of the baked good is a simple note. The handwriting is bad. However, it reads:
"All Might is out looking for you. He knows what you are and is going to find and destroy you."
What? Is this a joke? Am I supposed to be scared?
My fingers tremble.
Butterflies flutter viscously in my tummy. Knocking against my vital organs like they are having a fiesta.
What is this? Here have a gift. Enjoy this nice pizza. By the way, All Might wants your head.
Why All Might, I didn't do anything wrong. I mean- I did a lot wrong. So many things wrong. Like lying to Shouto and the others and killing human beings. No matter how evil they were, I still killed people. Is that why All Might is after me?
Maybe it's because I'm All For One now.
I turn back to the matter at hand. Inspecting the pizza I find nothing out of the ordinary. Now it calls to question. Should I eat this seemingly normal pizza that could maybe be poisoned?
