Walking out of the black portal I saw that I was on a busy street. A row of brick apartments sprawled out for a block in front of me. The buildings on the other side of the street there was a Motel and what looked like an entrance to the subway station.

My phone buzzed in my pocket signaling that I have an in incoming call. The collar ID read as Kurogiri. Still very much upset about the argument I had with him, I pushed the answer button reluctantly.

"Shiki, it's me. I have to explain your mission." Kurogiri's voice came through the phone. He continued with his explanation.

"This should be an easy task for you. All you have to do is find Jin Bubaigawara, and try to get him to agree to meet us at the bar. If he doesn't comply, text me and I'll send a gate," Kurogiri told me through the phone. I stared angrily at the concrete sidewalk. Pedestrians walked around me.

I told him I was busy today, damnit. He's just making me do this cause I pissed off the man child known as Tomura. I'll have to apologize to my classmates later. Although I bet they aren't missing my presence at all. I wonder if Todoroki was there today.

A pang of regret hit me. I wanted to see him, it's been a while since I've gotten to talk to Todoroki. Maybe if I'm fast I can still hang out with him today. It's only just past noon. I glanced at the sun that was starting to lean to the side in the sky.

Let's do this then. I approached the rundown building in front of me. I pushed a button on the voice box and spoke the name of the man I'm looking for. I was redirected to his room number.

"Hello? This is a recording. Go away." Two sets of voices greeted me. Although it seemed to be from the same man, it's hard to tell. I ignored the recording part and continued. I have a hunch it's not a recording. He's just skittish.

"I'm Suzuki Shiki, I'm hoping to find Jin Bubaigawara, does he live here? Silence is all I hear on the other end. He's ignoring me? Maybe it is a pre-recoding? Then the voice came back.

"Are you selling Girl Scout cookies? Because those things taste like sawdust." Again the two voices answered me. One tone of voice was deep like he was mocking how an old man talks, the other was sarcastic and whiny.

"May I come up? I have a proposition better than Girl Scout cookies." My voice sounded sweet. Just another day ruining someone's life with the League. My own words sicken me.

"I'd hope so. Nothing beats homemade cookies." I'm not sure what's wrong with this guy. It's clear to me that he's got some screws loose.

"Twice, I'd like to talk to you face to face if you don't mind." On the other end, there was complete silence. I probably scared him off by using his villain name.

"I just need to talk to you, that's all." No one answered me. I hopped from foot to foot uncomfortably.

"Are you in cahoots with that old guy that looks like a pedo? He offered me something too, it wasn't cookies." I couldn't stop myself from groaning because of this man. If he's always this sidetracked why bother getting him on our side?

"You must mean Giran. No, he's not part of the organization. He's just a loser that was being paid to talk to you." Again I questioned myself why I'm here.

Oh, that's right, I'm already on the ropes with Tomura. Pissing him off further wouldn't be good for my health. Anyway, all I gotta do is get him within arm's length of me. Then I can gleefully push his crazy ass into the portal and be done with it.

"Organization? Look here little missy, I'm not going to some lab to be your rat. Where do I sign up?" My temples gave me a present in the form of a sharp pang to let me know that a headache will now be taking up residence in my head.
