(A/N) Before you continue reading. I was editing ch 22 and I added something important to the relationship status of Shiki and Shouto.
WHISPER - it's a make-out scene -WHISPER
Go check it out because this chapter will confuse you if you don't

Across from me the disturbing figure that is apparently my biological father. A large meal spread out steaming on the table with a meaty fragrance coming from the main dish. My mouth salivated in reaction to the delicious smell.

"Don't just stare, Shiki. This food was prepared with you in mind. Hastily I might add, but still, this is some of the best beef in Japan. Enjoy." Without another word from him, I helped myself to the food. A long silence ensued.

Finally, All For One gestured to the empty room. His hand looking like it could easily hold a basketball without any trouble.

"I thought about what you said, this place is a lot quieter without them. Now though, I think I like it better this way." He spoke in a carefree way.

"I have something I'd like to say." I took my first bite of food.

All For One sat back in his chair and nodded for me to continue.

"About the school UA, I want to drop out. Just hear me out okay?" I raised my fork and pointed it at him.

"My teacher knows I don't have my quirk anymore. They are bound to expel me any day now. Even if they don't expel me, I can't keep hiding the fact that I don't have powers. They are probably already suspicious of me." Looking down, I gave my beef a pointed look and started cutting it up.

"Let me tell you a story." All For One sat up and cleared his throat. I groaned inwardly. Now I'm getting lectured.

"Do you know how much of the society we have today was built?" He paused waiting for my answer. I didn't give him one. The beef on my plate had my full attention.

"Heroes are widely accepted in today's society because of one person who sacrificed everything for a better future. In fact, I am that person who made all this possible. You see when I was a young boy—." I scoffed and almost choked on my food.
A young boy, that's a funny thought. I couldn't help but laugh.

"I was saying when I was a young boy people with quirks were seen as monsters. Back then they had no idea that it was just evolution creating a better, more streamlined version of the human form. These 'freaks' were segregated and treated inhumanly." When he spoke again he sounded far away, like he was thinking of something that happened long ago.

"With my quirk, I realized I had the power to tip the balance. To show the weak quirkless man what it is like to be powerful. For the men who had a quirk but were cast out, I took away their pain so they could live a normal life."

I stared at him, not sure what he was trying to tell me.

"I became their god. Many men served under me, in debt to me for the great kindness I showed them. We made an empire! It was the most amazing thing the world has ever seen." He sighed and rested his hands on the table in front of him.

"It is a shame that what I've done for society is nothing more than an Internet myth. Everyone has forgotten the things I've done for civilization. My name is unknown. I'm in ruins, my body is failing me. Shiki, I'm sorry for bringing you into this lifestyle. I see know that I was just being selfish. As my only daughter, I want you to lead a better life than I." His words make me feel really uncomfortable.
I shift in my seat.

All For One has never told me about this before. So why is he telling me now? In fact, we haven't eaten a meal together since I was 10. That was around 5 years ago give or take.
