After leaving Shouto alone in the alley I made my way to the secret bar via taxi.

I'm still thinking about the kiss with Shouto. I smiled like a lovesick girl. Adrenaline hasn't stopped rushing through my veins. Nor had the slight smile from my lips disappeared.

The serious need to run away captivated my bones. I'm not scared. Not of Tomura. I paused. Okay, I am scared...of Tomura.

Going around the back of the building I found a window. Testing my luck and ability to be silent I wedged my blade in. Busting the old lock was easy. Holding my breath I slipped into the dark room.

The bar is unusually loud today. Even with closed doors, there was still a ruckus. Multiple voices could be heard coming from the common room.

If I had my quirk I could easily create a ball of red light energy. This world hates me though, so no dice.

Bitterness rested on my tongue.

I don't even know if Kita is here. What will I do if she's not in the basement? Confront Tomura myself?

I snuck out into the hallway. Careful not to make too much noise I comminuted to the basement. Living here in the past helps me find my way around.

The basement door opened for my skilled hands. I found the light switch and hurried down the steps. To my relief and horror, sobs came from the bottom of the stairs.

She's here down here.

"Kita." I hissed.

My older sister sat in a locked chair. I've been in that chair before.

Pushing away my own feelings I hurried over to her. The look on her face as she saw me made me feel like complete crap. I only have myself to blame. I got her involved when she didn't need to be.

Kita whimpered and started to babble about being stuck down in this dark basement.

"My quirk is being inhibited by this chair. That man said so. Who was he Shiki? Why am I here?"

So he didn't tell her everything. That's good at least. The less she knows the better. I took out my lock picking kit and set to work.

The sound of the door of the basement opening made my blood run cold.

"Boss, there's an intruder! Oh never mind, it's just Cookie Thief." Twice yelled.

Kita started making noises that sounded like a frightened mouse. She struggled in the chair.

Cookie Thief? Is that nickname because I lied to Twice about getting him cookies?

There's no time left. I stood protectively in front of my sister as the League entered the basement.

"Shiki— what's going to happen to me?" Kita asked scared out of her mind.

"Nothing. Don't worry." I tried to sound confident but in truth, I'm scared too.

I came face to face with people I know and don't know. My feet froze in place. I don't recognize many of the guys here. What scared me the most was the hostile looks on some of their faces.

I saw Tomura, Dabi, Magne, Twice, and Toga. They are the only people I know from the group who came downstairs.

Too quick for anyone to respond, I was picked up and held tightly in a strong grip. Breathing became difficult. I could hear Kita crying.

A large man with huge muscles and a scary-looking eye was the one who attacked me. Others stood not really caring or like Dabi who seemed serious for once.
