Summer Break .

So it being the middle of June it was boiling hot here in Michigan. I had no real plans for the summer but me and Maddie talked a lot about it.

"So here we are again." I say sighing heavily.

"Yeah I know, we are going to be doing this all summer instead of actually going somewhere and having fun." Maddie says.

"Well let's start coming up with ideas and things."

"Where do you wanna go?" She asked sipping her lemonade.

"I would love to go to Miami." I admitted.

"You've been to Miami your entire life, let's go somewhere different." She stated.

"Fine where?" I asked.

"Like Hawaii or the Himalaya."

"That exotic huh?"

"Please?"

"We would have to get passports...."

"I already have mine. We took a trip to Paris for my parents honeymoon when I was 6." She said smiling.

"Your parents took you guys with them for their honeymoon?" I asked.

"It was their 2nd honeymoon though and yes they did only because Tim begged to take us."

"Lucky you." I was always kind of jealous that she had an older sibling and I was the oldest to my siblings.

"So yeah and we don't need permission so even better."

"Yes I know being 18 is amazing." I said hugging her.

"Have you ever considered.... getting a tattoo?" She asked randomly.

"Why so my parents can have a moment?"

"No seriously because I've been thinking about it, I might like to get a cute butterfly or something. Or maybe like a rose." She said clapping.

"You're nuts." I say.

"Come on Bailey let's get matching best friend tattoos instead."

"I'll consider it." I say.
