Poor little ....Daniel ?

I finally have decided to go see Daniel at the jail and he was surprised that I actually came. I had to keep it a secret because I'm sure my dad would kill me if he found out that I was coming to see him.

"How are you in here?" I asked.

"I'm not jail material I know that. Their making me and my oldest brother Kyle share cells, he hasn't done anything this entire time but blame me for this."

"How could he even do that?"

".......He thinks I snitched to the cops so that you could be free.....I think he believes we're in some kind of relationship."

"......Oh would that be weird?"

"I mean.....my brothers kidnapped you....it'll be kind of weird."

"Yeah they did.....you didnt."

"But honestly I was there....through the kidnapping and holding you guys hostage. I feel just as guilty."

"Why didn't you try and talk them out of it?"

"I'm the youngest they will never listen to me. Especially Kyle....it's either his way or no way all the time."

"I can help you though....I know you didn't have anything to do with this Daniel. I can testify or do something to get you out of here."

"Won't that be weird....their gonna see it as helping the guy who kidnapped you get out of jail."

"But I know you didn't kidnap me, and I don't care what they think I know you're innocent. You were like just an accessory or something."

"I love that you wanna help but I don't think that they listen to you Jessica and I don't want to get you into any trouble."

'Daniel....I don't want you to rot in here because of your horrible brothers....I want us to be together...." I admitted.

"Hey Jenkins! Times up!" The guard called and he slowly rose out of his seat.

"Jessica....I want that too....but there's nothing we can do." Then he left just like that.

I went home to think about what I was going to do. I wanted to just tell my dad about my intentions so I went into his office.

"What do you need Jessie, kind of busy right now?"

"What you working on?"

"A case....this week my client is a 35 year old man accuse of first degree murder and these cases aren't easy."

"How about working with someone younger...maybe in for kidnapping...." I pushed the idea. He looked up and stared blankly at me.

"I pray and hope that you're not talking about who I think you are."

"Dad Daniel is innocent alright! Why won't you believe me?"

"He and his filth bag brothers kidnapped you and Madalyn I will not help him fight against something he deserves that's preposterous!"

".......I want to be with him and you just want to stop that."

"Yes of course I do! He kidnapped you Jessica for Christ Sake! Look at your back Jessica!" He said reminding me about that punishment I had received when I was there.

"He didn't do any of that! His brothers did. Not to mention he got punished by them as well so he is innocent. Dad just give him his innocence please?"

"That isn't up to me....it's up to the judge and I doubt they would see his case your way so I'm sorry....find another boyfriend."

"The whole justice system is unconstitutional! Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty huh?!"

"You actually paid attention in U.S History?" Bailey said as she passed by.

"Screw you Bailey!" I yelled after her.

"Nothing was constitutional about he and his brothers kidnapping you! What about freedom of speech, liberty, and all that other crap. They were depriving you from all of that. But you want to released them from jail? Doesn't make any sense Jessie."

"Dad for the last time he didn't do anything.....I give up....I was trying to get a professional to handle the job.....but now I see I would have to myself."

"Jessica don't you do anything!" He said getting up from his seat.

"Dad I will not let an innocent man sit in jail for nothing and your a lawyer that's supposed to be your job!"

"And I will not help the guy who kidnapped my daughter get out of jail! My job is to protect you and that's what I'm trying to do!"

"Dad I'm helping Daniel get out of jail with or without your help." I said exiting the room.
