I finally got everyone down stairs to listen to my discussion. They were all sitting on the couch staring blankly at me. I took a deep breath and prepared my self.

"Alright well I'm just going to go for it.....I gathered all of you here to tell you that I've been learning more and more about myself these past few years and ummm I think it is safe to say that......I'm gay." They all stare like I spoke a different language. The room felt even more quieter as they stare. I felt the sweat build up on my forehead and the palm of my hands. I just wanted them to say something and then finally.

"Well.....that's a real shocker." She says and everyone starts moving again. Jessica says.

"Are you sure Alan?" My mom asks me

"Yes mom I'm sure."

"How long have you known?" Bailey started off

"There is nothing to know.....because he's not gay." My dad's voice rose a little making everyone look at him.

"Edward that's not your decision." My mom tells him in my defense.

"It will be my decision whether or not I have a gay son living under my roof."

"So what dad now your gonna kick him out?" Bailey asks.

"That is not happening!" My mom yells.

"No one said that I was going to kick him out..."

"So what is it that you were trying to say?" I started to get fustrated with him.

"Alan your 16.....How do you know? You haven't even had a girlfriend yet."

"That's why dad! I don't like GIRLS."

"This is unbelievable." My dad says walking out of the living room and everybody stares for awhile and eventually walk away too. I don't know but this strange feeling of disappointment rushed over my body and I didn't know whether my dad was just over reacting or I was a terrible person.
