ALIGNED BY TIME AND HEART

SUCCESS CAN TURN INTO A FIASCO (2)

Just a few more minutes from creating history....

Jennie was typing furiously on her keyboard and Taehyung was checking the whole set-up for the  last time. Namjoon stood infront of the device with a sharp and serious face. The  entryway was now pitch black.

Jennie's hands stopped right before clicking the "ok" option. She looked up from her screen to her brothers. Taehyung smiled a bit nervously. To be honest...she was nervous too. She turned her gaze towards her elder and Namjoon nodded confidently. Inhaling a deep breath, she finally touched the screen and got up from her seat.

Three of them came near the entrance with their backpacks and attached their translators to their ears. The  hollow black  portal started illuminating with a bright blinding light.

- ' Jen..Tae? '
Both of them looked at Namjoon at once. He took both of their hands into his own and said, eyes steady to the glowing portal...
- ' We've done many experiments together...and they always brought us success. But what we're going to do right now..this is not anything we've done before. You guys already know  this, but still...this is a life risking step...and as your elder brother, this is my duty to warn you. You guys did your best till now...but..'

Namjoon looked down and stopped for a while. After a moment he continued
- ' But you guys can back off now. Actually, I want you to back off. I don’t want to risk your lives at any cost...let me do this. Will you? '
Taehyung and Jennie stood there for some seconds...unable to say anything.

Finally Jennie broke the silence, her voice was heavy
- ' Wh..what are you talking about oppa? We came this far...now how can we back off? This...this is not an option...no.'

Taehyung held Namjoon by shoulders and turned him towards him
- ' Listen hyung...we all knew it can cost us our lives and still we decided to continue our research. Now when the final moment is waiting for us, how can you even think that we will leave you alone? We're family hyung! Before everything, you're our brother. We're never ever gonna do that even if you order us to do so. Understood? '
Taehyung's eyes were shining with tears and determination. Namjoon nodded slowly
- ' Then let's face this together. Come on...let's see what time holds for us. '

With that, they held each-others hands tightly as Namjoon pressed the opening button of the portal.

Their device can merge two different timezones and this portal is the doorway to the other timezone. Once opened, it starts working on the metal inside human body and the metals touching the human body from the side which opened the portal. Then it creates a magnetic field all over the area and pulls in the person inside the portal with the help of the magnetic field and sends the person into the different timezone.

The portal opened with dazzling light washing over the whole laboratory and three of them closed their eyes.

But...

They're not feeling any magnetic attraction...

Just when they were about to open their eyes, the light shined the brightest, making it impossible to see anything as they guarded their eyes with their hands.

They kept this position as the time was passing by. After 1-2 minutes, the light went off...but the whole room filled with groans and wails.

Three of them opened their eyes shockingly, and found 8 people, some laying and some sitting on the floor of the laboratory while shouting or whining.

- ' What the hell we did!? '

Only this sentence escaped Namjoon's  mouth as they stood their like three stone statues.

Well..definitely, this was NOT their plan...

But in search of future,they created a huge problem.

Who are these 8 people? From where they came?
