ALIGNED BY TIME AND HEART

SPECIAL CHAPTER - CHAESOO

- ' But where are we going eonnie? '
- ' Just a few more minutes Chae... wait a bit more and don't open your eyes. '
- ' I can't! You're covering them with your hands. '
Jisoo smiled and kept walking while guiding Chaeyoung carefully with her. Her heart was beating loudly. Finally..  the day she's been waiting for.

After a while, Jisoo pulled away her hands and said with a smile
- ' Now open your eyes Princess. '
Chaeyoung opened her eyes and after adjusting them, she was awestruck at once.

It was their roof terrace, but not in the usual manner.  The whole terrace was coloured in baby pink theme..from pink satin curtains to pink carpet... and the area was decorated with white roses - two of the most favourite things of the Park Princess . In the middle of the terrace, there was a table, decked with scented candles, bouquets and a cake.

-' You like it? '
Chaeyoung got startled as Jisoo asked her the question and after coming back to her senses, she flashed a warm, bright smile.
- ' I love it! Oh my god eonnie...this whole set up is so soo good that.. I.. I don’t even know what to tell! '
Jisoo smiled fondly at her
- ' All of this is for you. '
- ' But why? Today is not my birthday... then? Why so suddenly? '
Jisoo smiled sheepishly and held Chaeyoung's hand
- ' Come with me. '
She dragged her infront of the table and gestured towards the cake. Chaeyoung followed her gaze and saw the chocolate cake with strawberry cream - just how she likes it. But that didn’t affected her. What stunned her was the top of the cake...where a little heart shaped box laid, and a line was written under that box...saying - ' Will you marry me? '

She stood there but she felt everything else has stopped. Only the cake infront of her, her loud heartbeats and the warmth of their joined hands was real.

Stunning her once more, Jisoo took the box and pulled out a ring from it - an oval cut pink diamond ring glittered as the setting sunlight touched it gently.

Chaeyoung looked up at Jisoo who smiled brightly and got down on one knee. Chaeyoung's head was spinning as Jisoo started to tell what her heart wanted

- ' Okay...so..first, I'm not a poet like my brother..so don't expect this to be very good..but I can tell you what I actually feel. '

She took a deep breath and continued
- ' You know Chae...it feels like forever when I look back to the time when I first saw you. I was 5 and you were 4 then. My parents had arranged a dinner and invited every friendly Kingdom. I was usually not very much outgoing.. especially when I was a kid. And then, I saw you, dressed in a light blue gown and holding the hands of a 2 years old toddler Jimin. You were constantly smiling and every single kid wanted to play with you. That was the first time you amazed me.....I really wanted to be your friend. Then time went on. We went to the royal school together and grew up. As time went by...I felt a unknown attachment with you. In my teen days, I didn’t know why but you just felt closer to my heart without even trying. Your sweet talks, divine smile and positive personality drew me towards you. And then...past few years, I realised what it is. But....you know the barriers. Even if deep down I knew you're the one.. I never dared to show it and let it be, thinking that it will gradually go away with time. But time.. It just...keeps playing with our lives. All of a sudden we were dragged here...all of a sudden everything changed...all of a sudden... we confessed our love. Still now, I don’t know what I've done to deserve such a pure heart like yours...but all I know is that..you're the essence of my happiness...you're the music of my heart....and you're the colour of my sunsets. I want to treasure you forever Princess Park. Will you be mine? '

Chaeyoung was totally not in the position to say anything. Instead, she sat down infront of Jisoo and wrapped her into a tight embrace, tears streaming down her face.

Jisoo smiled warmly, hugged her back and kissed the top of her head softly as the sun kissed the horizon in the background.

A marriage proposal it is!
