ALIGNED BY TIME AND HEART

THE DAY HAS ARRIVED (55)

Taehyung's hand slightly trembled as his finger went to the enter button.

Once again, they're repeating the whole process which turned their lives upside down. This one final enter..and that's it. They're going to face anything and everything possible because none of them was sure of the final result.

Taehyung's mind came back to reality as he felt another hand on his own. He looked up and found the very exact person he needed in this moment, his brother. 

Namjoon smiled slightly and pressed his hand
- ' Nervous? '
Taehyung nodded. Namjoon sat down besides him and ushered Jungkook. Everyone was in the room, and yet there was pin drop silence. Obviously....no one was in the mood for chitchats.

- ' Yes hyung? '
Jungkook came to them and Namjoon gestured towards Taehyung, who was once again back to thinking odd situations.

Jungkook sighed and sat down infront of Taehyung
- ' Tae? '
Taehyung's eyes darted to the Prince's face and a genuine smile spread across his lips. Jungkook smiled back
- ' We're all set. Do it...it will be fine. Nothing will go wrong. Besides...if anything happens, Jennie noona will be here to make things okay. Right noona? '
Jungkook said the last part looking at Jennie and she managed a faint smile.

After their tremendous failure in this project, the scientists were not ready to take anymore risks, specially not with the royals. This is why they came to conclusion that one of them will be in their lab, while the other two will go to the Kingdom. With this, if some problem occurs, there is a chance that it could be sorted out from their laboratory. Jennie finalised that  she's going to be here and will keep a sharp eye on the whole process....and if something goes wrong, she'll immediately take step to set it right.

The Kim brothers could do that also, but Jennie literally requested her brothers to leave her behind...

...it was already impossible for her to say goodbye to her love. She was sure she'd lose her control if she went to Lisa's homeland .

- ' Do it...let's see what time has to offer us this time. '
Taehyung looked at his brother, then back at Jungkook, then his gaze shifted to others in the room. Something in his heart was feeling very heavy.

- ' Go for it Tae....we're together in this. If something happens, we'll face it together. '
Jimin said smilingly, but Taehyung could clearly see his moist eyes. But time was running out....he has to do it.

He looked at Jungkook for one last time, taking in every single feature of his face and then looked down at his own finger. The diamond ring was shining brightly.

- ' Ready everyone? '
- ' Wait...a minute. '
Everyone turned and looked at the source of the voice. It was Lisa.

She was staring at Jennie....eyes conveying every possible human emotions. Jennie couldn’t hold back more, she ran into the butler's arms holding her tightly as tears came running down from her eyes.

Lisa said nothing, just hugged her back.

A moment passed by, the whole room was quiet, feeling the same pain that the  embracing couple felt in their hearts.

Finally, they pulled away, but this time smiling, even with the constant flow of tears.

- ' Lili loves you...come back soon Nini. Keep your promise.'
- ' I will Lizzie..  I will. This is not the final goodbye. We'll see each-other again.. I will make that possible. Don't forget about me. '
- ' Not possible in this lifetime. '

Lisa came back to the team as Chaeyoung patted her back soothingly.

Taehyung took a deep breath
- ' Okay...so...ready everyone?'
Everyone nodded and while looking at his boyfriend, Taehyung pressed the key.

Jungkook took his hand and dragged him to the entrance, where others were waiting.

Subconsciously, everyone held each-other's hands....as if trying to seek confidence and confirmation.

Namjoon calmed down his uneven breath and said
- ' Let's face this together. Come on...let's see what time holds for us. '

With that, they held each-others hands tightly as Namjoon pressed the opening button of the portal.

The portal, once again opened with dazzling light... washing over the whole laboratory and all of them closed their eyes.

The whole experiment is done, again.

But what will happen this time? Will they reach their destination or something more strange will happen?
