We got back to the campus. Me and Riley changed into comfortable clothes and hang in my room with silence.
I'm getting a new roommate, I didn't know who it was, I thought getting a new roommate is messed up because they are taking over Kevin's bed and his side of his room.
"Come on let's do something, to clear your mind." Riley held my arm. I turned my head looking into her brown eyes.
"The hell Kevin our Kevin just died." I cursed. She made a series face at me then smiled, she got on top of me kissing. I allowed her, so I grabbed her hips. We kissed passionately, as Kade walked in.
"Oh shit sorry." he said looking away. We stopped eating each other and looked at Kade, before anything Riley got off of me.
"Oops sorry." Riley forced a smile and sat up with me on the bed.
"What do you want?" I asked him giving full attention.
"I saw your new roommate and he was a nerd, so I couldn't let him be your roommate so I'm going to be yours." Kade smiled at the end showing his bags and stuff.
"Wow isn't great!" Riley cheered. Thank god somebody I know. I faked a smile and helped him with his stuff.
"Why don't we go out and eat something, foods on me." Kade smiled at us. I looked at Riley who is happy, I'm glad she is. I really hate to see people sad, especially someone I love.
"Alright let's go." I pretended to be happy, why are they happy because we just went to Kevin's funeral. Are they trying to cheer me up.
Riley and I held hands and started walking beside Kade.
Kade seems nicer now not the guy who has beaten me up because of his girlfriend.
"Alright here we are." Kade grinned and open the door for us. We thanked him and walked in. We sat down at our table and ordered our food.
"Soo... agian sorry for your friend." Kade said breaking the silence between us.
"It's fine." I muttered, no it's not fine, everything is not fine.
"Come on Jaxon cheer up." Riley touched my shoulder, I finally snapped.
"EVERYTHING IS NOT FINE!" I hit the table and yelled. Clearly everyone was staring at me, Kade and Riley stood there shocked.
I shook my head then got up and ran out with anger.
I hear Riley screaming for my name behind me.
"Jaxon!" She finally stopped me, I looked at the ground while she was trying to catch my eyes.
"I'm sorry if I did something but please be happy." she pulled me in for a hug.
"I'm s-sorry." I stuttered into her ear, she nodded, actually she snuggled into my shoulder, while its a little cold outside. it's cold because it's 9pm and the sun is down.
"I'll be at the gym." Kade said behind us as he was walking by.
Me and Riley were still hugging outside of the cafe. I don't know I thought it was a good time to hug her.
"Well, we got a big test tomorrow, gotta sleep. Goodnight." Riley let go of me and smiled.
"Good night." I smiled and kissed her forehead.
I held her hand for a moment and let her go.
I stuffed my hands in my pocket, I took a deep breath and looked around.
There were some people in the cafe and some wondering room to their dorms. I thought I could catch up with Kade who's at the gym. I walked into the gym building and see Kade lifting weights and watching tv at the same time.
"Hey." I got his attention.
He looked up quickly and relaxed as he saw me.
"Hey, you wanna play video games?" He set down the weights. I thought a bit and nodded.
He chuckled as I walked over the couch in front of the tv. kade walked over and set up the Xbox 1. He gave me a controller and sat next to me.
"You ready?" He acted sarcastically when were playing call of duty warfare, I'm going against him.
"Yep." I chuckled at his little act.
I started killing him multiple times, he barley shot me.
After a few rounds we were done, I won all of them.
"Damn your an expert." Kade mumbled feeling ashamed.
"Wanna wrestle?" I questioned him as he looked at me.
"Yeah sure." he got off the couch putting on some gloves.
I got up and put on some random fighting gloves.
"Here start punching my hands." Kade held up his hands waiting for a punch.
Before you know it I started punching his hand multiple times till he was sore.
"Jesus where did you learn that from?" Kade asked me, rubbing off his palms. Kevin, I learned it from Kevin. Every time with go to football practice we would do that to strengthen ourselves.
I was mad at Kade for asking that so I threw the gloves on the ground and barged out.
While I was walking fast to the dorm Kade followed me by running.
"Hey stop." he stopped me and started to take his breath for a moment.
"Sorry if I did anything or something, but don't be mad at me." He panted bending down with his hands on his knees.
I gritted my jaw and looked at him.
"Okay." I mumbled and walked off.
I made it to my dorm, I sat on the bed thinking peacefully till Kade of course came in.
When I saw him I said I was going to take a shower.
I got off the bed and secretly take a pencil sharpener then grab my needs.
I walked to the bathroom, set my stuff down and turn on the water.
I slipped off my clothes and joined the hot water which steamed the mirrors.
I close my eyes a bit and peacefully enjoy the shower till I thought about Kevin.
I bang my hand against the tile wall.
I grabbed the pencil sharper and took out the sharp blade.
I gently press the blade against my arm and started to move it, it hurt at first, but it felt so good. Blood trickled in the water down the drain. I started to shake a little and shuddered a little too. I felt weird, so I threw the blade on the ground.
This is wrong, I should sleep.
I quickly grabbed my towel and wrap it around my waist then grabbed my stuff.
I walked back to the dorm, feeling relieved.
Kade is sitting in the bed reading a sports magazine in his boxers.
"You okay?" I guess he noticed my fresh cut on my left arm near my hand. I paused for a moment the finally let out.
"Yeah-ye I scraped my arm on the broken towel holder thing haha." I chuckled nervously, as he pierce his eyes looking suspicious then nodded as he agreed with me.
"Yeah okay." I purse my lips then quickly put on some boxers and got in my bed.
"Night." Kade set down his sports magazine and looked at me. I peered over the night stand and looked at him.
"Night." I responded with a fake smile. He nodded then turned off the light.
I finally rest my head on the pillow. I looked at the blank ceiling and thought about the past. My life is unusual, for some reason. Few people died and I was involved in it I saw death even I wasn't suppose to see. I sigh and closed my eyes.
Good night.
