Camira's POV
"Hey Cammy, did you have a nice day?" My mom asked me as I walked into the door. "Yeah, it was okay," I told her.
"Camira, could you go to the grocery store and get the list of ingredients for dinner?" My mom asked. "Uh yeah. But I kind of need money. Since I don't have enough money." I told her. Then we handed me her debit card. "Cash-back please," she said. "Okay," I yelled back at her, walking out the door. Sliding into my new and improved Toyota Camry, driving towards the grocery store.*******************************
I was almost done with shopping until I accidentally ran into someone. But before I hit the ground the very muscular person caught me and lifted me off of the ground. When I looked up I saw the captain of the lacrosse team,Chris.
"Hey, you're Camira right?" He asked me, his blue eyes twinkling.
"Yeah, and you're Chris," I said. 'Wow you said something that both of you already knew.'. Sometimes I really don't like my inner voice.
"Yeah, I'm pretty sure that everyone knows that." He said, emphasizing the word 'everyone.'
"Well then how come I didn't know." I retorted back.
"Ouch," he said holding his heart, with a fake pained face.
"You'll get over it big boy." I told him.
"Hey Chrissy, look I found the graham crackers, chocolate, and marshmallows," a little girl with blonde hair said running up to him.
"Awesome now we can make those s'mores." He said to her enthusiastically.
"Who's that?" She asked, pointing over at me.
"That's Camira, she's the captain of the volleyball team." Chris explained. If he barely knew my name, how does he know what sport I play? 'Maybe because he does know you. And to think that you have a 4.0 GPA.'
Like I said sometimes I don't like my inner voice.
"Oh, I remember you. Nice serving hand by the way." She said complementing me.
"Thanks, and may I say you have really beautiful eyes." I complemented back. She and Chris both had the same shade of blue eyes.
"I'm Diamond, it's nice to meet you." She said.
"It's nice to meet you too Diamond," I told her. Before we could continue our conversation I got a text from Cameron saying that I had to hurry up.
"Oh um I gotta go but I'll see you at school Chris."
"Go ahead ask her Chrissy," Diamond told Chris.
"Hey before you leave Camira, I wanted to know if you could help me with my passes in lacrosse. Since your dad was a lacrosse legend and all." Chris asked, scratching the back of his head nervously.
"Yeah sure. Here's my number text me whenever." I said giving him my number. "Bye guys!" I told them walking away to pay for the groceries.
