Jayce's POV

"I've been trying to reach Camira all weekend," I told Brad. Camira hasn't responded to any of my texts or calls all weekend. Right now Brad and I are at our lockers getting ready for second period class.

"Maybe she was just busy with homework," I suggested. "Or maybe not," Brad said pointing to my left. I turned to look and I saw Camira walking through the halls laughing with Jonathan.

"You better do something about that dude," Brad said. I shook my head. "No I won't do anything about it. At least not yet," I said walking in the other direction.

Camira's POV

"Okay Class settle down," Mr. Peterson the chorus teacher said. Mr. Peterson is one of our two chorus teachers. The other is Ms. Callowait.

"We have decided who the two leads for regionals will be. Those two are Ms. Camira Sullivan and Mr. Jonathan Michaels," Ms. Callowait said.

Jonathan and I looked over at each other and gave each other high fives. This is so awesome, I'm going to be the lead for regionals next week. Yay!

"Practice is today after school," Mr. Peterson said. "Have a nice day," he finished as the bell rang.

"We get to do a duet together," Jonathan chimed. "I know it's cool that we get to do it together," I said.

'That sounded so wrong.'

That did sound weird. Never mind. "Yeah. I'll see you later," he said. "Okay, bye." I told him walking out of the choir room.

Today has been weird. I haven't talked to Jayce all day. I'm pretty sure that he's here. I guess that I'll talk to him during lunch.

"Hey girlies," Chad said walking up to the table. None of the boys were at lunch today which is weird. Is Jayce avoiding me?

"Hey Chaddie," all of the girls chorused. It's always cool having Chad around. Along with Connor. "Sup kiddos," Connor said walking up next to Chad.

"Sup," we all said. "Where are your boyfriends?" Connor asked us sitting down at the table. We all shrugged. Maybe all of the boys were ignoring us.

"Do you want us to go find them?" Chad asked. "No we're good. Maybe they just need some space," Brook said. "Okay. Camira I heard that you have one of the leads for regionals next week," Chad said. "Are you excited?" Connor asked me.

"I'm more nervous," I told them. "You have absolutely nothing to be worried about. We'll be right behind you singing back up," Destiny said reassuringly.

"I know but if we don't win then it's my fault," I told them. "Don't worry about it. We'll all know that you tried your best," Cynthia said.

I nodded my head, it's good to have friends like them.

"Okay, so you two will be in the center singing together," Mr. Peterson instructed. Practice has been pretty fun. Especially with Mr. Peterson in charge. Ms. Callowait had to go run a few errands.

I found out that I'm going to be doing a solo, and one duet with Jonathan. We have a back up duet in case we have to go into a sudden death competition. But that hasn't happened in five years, so I'm not too worried.

"Okay. Let's go over the first choice as your solo," Mr. Peterson suggested. We haven't decided what solo I should do. It's actually really hard picking one for Regionals.

' Loving you isn't the right thing to do
How can I ever change things that I feel?
If I could, baby, I'd give you my world
How can I, when you won't take it from me?
You can go your own way
Go your own way
You can call it another lonely day
Another lonely day
You can go your own way
Go your own way
Tell me why everything turned around
Packing up, shacking up is all you wanna do
If I could, baby, I'd give you my world
Open up, everything's waiting for you
Oh, you can go your own way
Go your own way
You can call it another lonely day
Another lonely day
You can go your own way
Go your own way
Hey, you can go your own way
Go your own way
You can call it another lonely day
Another lonely day
You can go your own way
Go your own way
You can call it another lonely day
Ohhh...'
